I feel this is made for the audience who are into cp shipping, had they made yichen and his wife have a kid as well as lu feng having a kid then it wouldn't appeal to that audience. I was rewatching ep 1 and ep 2 and the signs have been there since the beginning.
1. Forcefully trying to kiss yichen when he was drunk in front of his friends.
2. Manipulating yichen into forgiving him by using his injuries as an excuse.
3. Rushing into sleeping with yichen even though he was clearly confused and wasn't expecting it.
4. Being rough and manhandling him the entire time. Yichen obviously didn't enjoy it.
5. After yichen ran out the house, Again manipulating him by his sweet persona and excuses to bring him back.
The way scenes go from psychological horror to slice of life romance is INSANE. Lu feng is top tier manipulator, bro even has the audience under his control. 😭

Right, like why is yichen getting SO much hate?? Especially in youtube and insta, people are legit saying he deserves it all?? Yes lu fengs dad died but bro yichens mom died too and his brother was pushed down the stairs, he has every right to run away.
As to why yichen 'went back', it was a pure coincidence at first, then its been 5 years and he has made peace with his past, he was expecting the same from lu feng but he didn't know lu feng would go insane. This is a novel adaptation, the SA scene was in the novel so maybe spend that time calling out the author for writing it.
