Grandma is the only likeable character so far. She's so sweet, and I feel like she'll have a big hand at getting the leads together.
I'm enjoying MCH a lot more now that she's ditched her boyfriend and his family. She does a good job at putting her mum in her place, but I wish she would be more firm with her and tell her to back the fuck up. And the banter between MCH &YZM on the trip to the hotel was hilarious. I can't wait to see more of their interactions!
Another fantastic 2 episodes that left me wanting more! I 'm glad there was no cheating between the Rebecca and HRZ, but it was upsetting to see that the breakdown of their relationship was all because of an overbearing and possessive boy Mum. Episode 3 & 4 really showed how much Rebecca had and still does love him.
Qing Fen is just SO unlikeable. The end of episode 4 made me think she could take her obsession with Rebecca too far and be he one to cheat on HRZ. If only to 'spice up' her mundane life. It really looks like HRZ is dying for a reason to go back to Rebecca, and I hope he gets it.
My only issue with this drama is how it portrays almost all the men/husbands as useless or evil. Come on, life…
Which men are you referring to? The leads and support cast (Yanxi, the Shen brothers, the Hua family men in exile) are kind and well written. The only shitty husbands I can think of is Hua Jing's husband, but she's also a shitty character. And Yanxi's Dad, but his other wife was also despicable.
Yay thank you so much! Now I'm not so nervous to continue watching. Does he still become an idol and does she avoid the accident that made her lose the ability to walk?
The first two episodes were so good! I can't tell if Qing Fen is a psycho yet or not but I'm team Rebecca. The way she portrayed loneliness (or hyper independence) was extremely relatable to me, as someone who is work focused, with barely any friends or relationships.
Although we don't know how THAT relationship ended, I hope there's a chance of reconciliation, or for my girlie to let it go entirely and find someone to love, or at least happiness on her own.
I usually complain that cdrama airing schedules are too fast paced, but now I'm upset that I have to wait a week for the next episode 😛
how are there so little comments on this masterpiece? every episode is nerve wrecking, exciting and frustrating. not to mention, this is yibo's best work so far.
I think it's to catch people's attention, if you get further into the plot first day you might stay longer. Especially…
you're right, and i do like getting the first few episodes in bulk, it's just theres multiple other shows doing the exact same thing at the same time. it's difficult to keep up, and to keep track. you miss one day and suddenly you're 10 episodes behind ha :)
does anyone know the reason behind china's airing schedule when it comes to dramas? why do they insist on giving us 6 episodes at once, then 1-2 everyday when there's already 15 other dramas doing the same thing. i'm exhausted lol
