Directors are trying too hard to be mature and gritty it becomes boring… Zhang Linghe is already not that strong of an actor so it doesn’t help…

It would’ve been better if Yingtao didn’t go to look for him and moved on and he found her later. But sigh. What can you expect from a character with no development and a male-centered personality.

I see all the shows you suggested have a more serious tone to them. I’ve only watched Moving and My Dearest so I’m just assuming. Twinkling Watermelon is a perfect show in every attribute for a more light hearted, happy theme. Where do you think it fell short?

Who is Lin Yintao other than her affection for Jiang Qiao Xi and her friends? What interests does she have, goals or dreams? We have no idea.

Genuinely what is Zhang Linghe getting paid for in this drama, his character adds nothing and barely has scenes. In the scenes he’s in, his role adds no emotional depth. Whatever.
