7.8 is not bad. You guys have unrealistic standards, it’s not anything amazing or a new plot. 7.8-8.1 is where it falls. And it’s not done yet, dramas usually aren’t rated by users until they finish the show.
It’s like kdramas don’t know what they’re doing nowadays. They keep airing dramas with random plots and bad writing. Have u seen The potato lab? Where’s the Goblin, My Dearest, even True beauty dramas, I’m about to drop kdramas in general altogether
Completely agree with you. Not only that but this kind of super high production value skews ratings as well.
They’re so easy to please, a sad story, known actors, and a high budget makes a drama 10/10 now. It’s disrespectful to the art and actually quality dramas.
The daughter's story had me hooked but I agree that it's a typical romantic drama kind of story. The son's story…
So a story that is mediocre for a whole entire half deserves a 10/10 or a 9.4? The timeline jumps become less frequent as the story goes on and sadly can no longer hide the drama’s obvious shortcomings.
I’m just gonna be the one to say it because no one else will. There is a clear decrease in quality when the main leads become middle aged. The daughter’s story is basic and not as captivating, imagine the daughters story as a standalone without her parents story before. Would you really watch that? Invoking strong emotions does not equate to a quality story which I think a lot of people on this app don’t understand. Honestly this whole apps’ ratings are being distorted by these newcomers who rate everything that is good a 10/10. Not their faults entirely as most dramas recently haven’t been that great so seeing a show like this makes it seem amazing but ratings on MDL are now unreliable.
