I have a mixed feelings about this series, I did enjoy some part of it but some felt like my expectations were not met and this left me being disappointed. So, here is my take on this series:

First, watching this feels like the story became so distant to what I had seen since I started to venture Daomubiji series. Yes, there is still the classic tomb raiding adventures we had but I feel like its not as fun as how it was in our past adventures. It's like the body is still there but the soul is nowhere. I really love everything about DMBJ but something about this series really let me down.

Second, I love WX, I really like his character but I feel that curing his disease felt unfair to those who died, injured and sacrificed something for the sake of venturing the tomb. I know he is the main character and he has the revival card but I was truly disappointed at that scene. I am not trying to kill WX here but I really pity those who died and those peoole who lost someone they love (Fatty and Master Black). I am sad for Master Black because his eye really became a true curse for him, there is really no one alive who have seen his eye except WX and ZQ.

Third, we got few ZQWX quality time here. I know that the story is not just about them but kinda miss their dynamics. They were truly my golden CP here, the ship I've been protecting. I know that my comment here will contradict the comment I have said at my second take but I do really have mixed feelings about this. I love WX to be alive so that he can spend more time with ZQ but I am also thinking about the things that happened to those people who didn't make it. So, let's just say I am for both of their sides.

Fourth, the villain here is my most hated character out of all those villains in DMBJ series. I am not talking about the last villain EJ but I am talking about the old man. His actions truly deserve a thousand death, him getting that end is not enough, he deserve more painful and unending pain. Whenever I saw him appearing, it really boils up my blood.

Lastly, the last few episodes feels anticlimactic, didn't moved me at all. Maybe because I was stuck at the disease recovery scene (where I felt unfair) that's why the remaining episodes became not interesting and barely watchable. The feeling was like it had a good start then fell down on the middle then continued going down in an abyss. The recovery scene really made me bitter about this series HAHAHAHAHA. I am sorry in advance.

I wish it was what I expect it to be but I am not really a professional to go beyond and dictate what it should have been. I am really sorry if I may offended someone about giving this lengthy comment. That scene really broke my interest and made me this loudmouth, downtrodden, and negative, criticizing the work of a professional. Just like what I had said, I really have fun at some scenes, it's just that, that scene keeps occupying my mind. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Honestly, I did have some fun watching this series and I am very happy that my ZQWX is back. So here is my take to this series:

First, as I mentioned, ZQWX is back. I definitely miss their husband-wife dynamics and I am very glad to see them working side by side again (although it was just in the half part of the series). We got to see a caring husband ZQ here so seize the chance to celebrate πŸ˜‚. Moreover, some of the cast was the same in the Tomb of the Sea with quite a few changes with others which is good also. The WX here is OK (in terms of personality and looks), but ZQ here, there is a part of me saying he is OK and there is also a part of me that says he's not fit to be ZQ. Maybe because I have been used seeing ZQ with a sharp look bad boy vibes, but here I feel that he became a ZQ with a cute look Prince Charming vibes, it felt like his temperant toned down by a lot. But, the chemistry is still there so what's to worry about, as long as their good dynamics are still there I will always root for them.

Second, besides ZQWX, I eventually find my favorite or go to character. As I have seen some of the adaptations in the Daomubuji series, I never have favor someone (except ZQWX) until I met Kan Jian. I find his character very interesting and charming, having a bulky physique but a bubbly personality (love the looks also), I really find him irresistible. If he were to die in this series I swear I will lose another reason to watch and continue this series.

Third, glad that Master Black finally met someone HAHAHAHA, their dynamics is quite good but not interesting for me. I am just glad that after a while he finally has someone (besides his apprentice Su Wan). Also glad that Fatty has met someone. His long bachelor life has been over. Although it is still not clear from this season, I wish to have him settle in the future so that he will never be able to third wheel again to my ZQWX πŸ˜‚. Moreover, It seems WX gain another woman here again, although I find Bai Haotian's personality odd, the dynamics between them can still be say 'good' (but not as good as my ZQWX). Maybe I'll find more about them in the next season, but will not definitely expect anything romantic about them (the age gap is very high, if the age she the told WX is true).

Lastly, the story for me is enjoyable and I am glad that we are back in their tomb raiding era (although the latter part was not, still glad that we got an adventure). It seems that the first season is more focused on laying all the problems first then the solution will be given in the second season. So, I'll be heading to the second season now and I'll be expecting a lot from it because of how the season 1 ended.

Thank you for reading this comment even if it is quite lengthy. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Still speechless after watching it. Although it's not what I expected it to be, I still can say that I did enjoy watching it and I love it. So, here is my take on the series:

First, we now got an episode where Zhang Qiling's presence is minimal (if I am right he only appeared in 3 episodes or maybe more but less than 10 episodes). It brought doubt to me because I am here because of ZQWX's chemistry and dynamics (the story is just a bonus), will I still like the series if they are not together. The answer is, I did like the series, WX and Li Cu's chemistry is good, their dynamics feels like 'Master and apprentice' vibes. Although, I miss ZQWX here I can't deny that WXLC here is worth of interest.

Second, the story here is more involved in the two groups fighting rather than our classic tomb raiding story. It's still interesting but the fun in exploring tomb is more appealing and entertaining to me than what happened here. There are still tomb raiding scenes but I can say that the feeling is different, the level of difficulty is below what we have seen in their other tomb raiding adventures. The story did confuse me sometimes because of unending new informations and I have difficulty understanding some scenes because of little to none explanations but as I continue to watch it, I was able to understand the flow and story slowly.

Third, it seems we got a schemer Wu Xie here, different from what we know of WX. Because of this behavior, I finally get why the Third Uncle acts like that, it feels like WX became the Third Uncle here and LC became WX. I did love the explanation left by the Third Uncle to WX, it was so funny and unserious.

Fourth, Zhang Rishan and Liang Wan's story here is also interesting. Their dynamics was also good. Was very glad at their ending. WX and Su Man was definitely unexpected for me, don't know if WX is true to SN in their snow mountain scene (but he cried for her, Right?) but I can see that SN did have feelings for him (as we can see at the last few episodes). Li Cu and Shen Qiong's story did not impressed me at all. Didn't feel anything between their interaction and scenes, can't feel any chemistry between them in terms of romantic relationship. Master Black and Su Wan's dynamics is interesting also, love how their Master and apprenticeship works. They did bring a lot of fun and color to the story. If there is a Ghost Ship I am willing to take sail into with in this series, it should be Kan Jian and Luo Que. Although they have fewer scenes together, their interaction with each other was really eye catching, their chemistry is so so good. Their dynamics is to be treasured, love them in the Crescent Hotel scene and the Chen Mountain scene.

Lastly, the ending left me unsatisfied. It feels like it didn't ended like what its supposed to be. I was literally left hanging at the end. But overall the story is very enjoyable and fun. Following the story line of the Daomubuji series recommended for me, I'll be heading to the Reunion: The Sound of the Providence next. So, see you there.

Thanks for reading such a long comment, I think I should be writing this in the Reviews but I always feel like I shouldn't be. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Time Raiders is much closer to the main novel than The Lost Tomb. In the main novel, Wu Xie gained it accidentally.…
Thanks for the info. 😍

Every antics were a cliche. I think the story can be further maximize. The story came so fast and some scenes are boring and bland. Awkward dynamics between the leads, I seem to feel that they have a good chemistry it's just that I didn't see it while watching the series. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

I find their story cute and fluffy. The actors have a good chemistry and dynamics. I find the actor playing Seok Min very charming hahahahahahaha. Anyways, athough the relationship happened so fast, can't blame them though, I blame the duration because it's too short. This is why I hate good short stories, they give us something good but left us hanging and wanting more at the end. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Loved and frustrated about the tension. Everyone's attitude seems off but its everyone's right to show their feelings and entitled to have their own feelings. So basically the main plot here in this volume is just to introduce people that we can hate to because of they behavior and feelings. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

This is the second series (besides Ultimate Note) were I gave a 10 star rating out of all the the adaptations I have watched from The Lost Tomb Series (The Lost tomb, The Lost Tomb 2, The Lost Tomb 2: Explore with the Note and Time Raiders). Although, I love the cast who played the young Wu Xie and Zhang Qiling here, I still believe that Ultimate Note has the best cast. Moreover, here is my take to this series:

First, I loved how the cast who played young WX and ZQ here are the ones who played the main character in the Time Raider. However, at first, I was not fond of the cast who played the older WX because it felt like his personality and demeanor changed. I seem to felt that he became more of a joke here and was nerfed because some of his action doesn't aligned to what I remember WX during his younger days. But as I watched and finished the series, I began to love how he portrays WX as an adult.

Second, ZQWX chemistry didn't vanish even though WX became older. There was still this very endearing connection between them that transcends friendship and I found it lovely and beautiful. Nevertheless, I seem to see the sadness in ZQ eyes when he saw WX and said to him that he became older. It was a teary eye moment for me and was the best episode and scene in this series. I also love the scene where WX said "I will lead an ordinary life with him", what does this supposed to mean?, my delulu mind seems to be hinting at something hahahahahahaha (sorry, my whole self is corrupted by BL virus). Can't really deny the fact that ZQWX dynamics is so interesting that it blurs the line between romance and BL.

Lastly, the story for me is very good, fun at best, easy to understand and it was really an adventure for me. Despite the frustrations of having many villains appearing, I am still glad that I survived it. Was glad at the ending though, it was super satisfying. (Poor Fatty for being a third wheel in ZQWX house, just joking). Following the order of watching the series, I am set to watch the Tomb of the Sand Sea next. The excitement after watching AbtBD still lingers with me and I hope that the next will able to sustain this excitement.

Thanks for putting some effort reading this long comment/rant. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

It seems we got a cute Wu Xie here now, and I think all the cast here are also cute, but Ultimate Note still has the best cast. Morerever, here is my take to this series:

First , recommendations were right about how this series is more detailed than watching The lost tomb and The lost tomb 2 but the fact that I watched the two seasons first feels watching this is so redundant. Of course I was glad that some scenes where changed and they made it so creative and more interesting. Sadly, I didn't enjoy this because it's hardly been 3 days since I watched the TLT and TLT2. So for better viewing and to enjoy it more I recommend to put some gap in watching them, a month or enough time to forget some scenes maybe.

Second, my poor ZQ and WX chemistry seems failing here, maybe because they didn't have enough screen time together. But I forgive the director because of the scene when WX drowned. I was wrong to think that their chemistry died down, I literally teared down to that scene when ZQ went to rescue him. It's so fluttering and endearing, I was so happy at that scene. Really love the ZQWX dynamics.

Third, the hate for A Ning seems became a National Anthem for me every time I watch the adaptations of the series. I was really glad that she didn't appear in the first 9-10 episodes, but arghhhhh I literally cursed when she showed up. Guess, the bwitch really got my blood boiling.

Fourth, The storytelling here is much more fluid than TLT and TLT2. But, it seems that WX getting the Qilin's blood was not mentioned or have been omitted here. I was really looking forward to that scene because it was very interesting but they didn't explain or showed it. Was it mentioned because I didn't seem to see it, maybe I just didn't pay attention to it more that's why I didn't saw it.

Lastly, I have fun even though I was very passive watching it (as I explained in my first take on this series) but can't deny to expect the cast to remain in the second season of this. I am really tired of the ever changing cast every time there is a new season or adaptations, it's so frustrating. I'll be going to Adventure behind the bronze door now, so wish me luck to not be bored watching it.

Thanks for having a time reading this long comment/rant. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Still confused to what really happen in Okinawa between JH and HS. This volume feels incomplete and some scenes feels like something was cut in the clip or something was missing. JH and JJ's relationship have come so fast, don't really know the timeline here but it seems it progresses so fast. My interest died down in this volume. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Can't really understand if this is a series, a VLog, or a series in a VLog style but this volume is quite cute and interesting. If this is a series, the VLog format doesn't seem to sit right to me. I feel awkward watching it, maybe because I been watching series in standard format for quite a while now and this feels new to me just like how I am still coping to vertical series format. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

It seems the hype died down in this season. Still confused here, I guess I was just too bored watching that's why. So, here is my take to this series:

First, I don't seem to like Fatty here in this adaptation (Both The Lost tomb 2 and The lost tomb 2: Explore with the Note). Fatty here is very annoying, he keeps making decisions that led to problems (I think he has activated most of the traps and the highest rate of freeing/disturbing a monster).

Second, Wu Xie and Zhang Qiling still has the best chemistry. "When wife Wu Xie is in danger, husband Zhang Qiling is always to the rescue" became a punchline to me whenever Wu Xie was in danger. It seems like ZQ has a built in GPS that tracks WX and tells him if WX is in danger.

Third, still hate the dynamics of A Ning and WX. I always fast forward their scenes because I really hate it when they are together. Maybe because I am for ZQ-WX.

Lastly, just like what I said the story still confuse me because I watched UN first before diving here and some plots differs here and there. But overall I still find the adventure of WX in raiding tombs very interesting and fun. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Actually the story is good, it was just butchered by Pat's stubbornness, being too emotional and sometimes being handful. The chemistry is already there, but the dynamics seems hard to watch. The problems introduced didn't even do it's job but it became the main reason the series flopped. The first part was already great but the latter part become boring, hence the few last episodes were very frustrating. The second couple didn't even have enough time to be a couple, they were just introduced and was left as it is. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Wu Xie here is hotter (sweaty wu xie every morningπŸ˜‚) compared to the 1st season and Ultimate note, which I had already watched. But I can say that Ultimate Note still has the best cast. Moreover, here is my take to this series:

First, I just notice that whenever the cast was changed, it seems that their personality also changes which affected my understanding to each characters.

Second, I was really disinterested to the character dynamics of Wu Xie and A Ning, I just don't get it, why push through a romantic vibes between them. I find their scenes very frustrating, cringey, and a waste of time.

Third, the flow in the latter part seems disrupted. It feels like some scenes were deleted or missing. I was really confused when there is a sudden change of scene between episode 35 and 36.

Lastly, I really enjoyed the adventure of Wu Xie, Little Master and Fatty here and I hope to enjoy the next season. Wu Xie and Zhang Qiling still has the best chemistry. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.

Strong and interesting start, average middle plot, boring ending. I quite like it from the beginning, it was good and endearing. Then suddenly the story went downhill (I was bored AF). Moreover, I am more invested to Em and Name's story, sadly their romantic relationship started at the ending part of the series, they have a pretty good chemistry. Anyways, it's just my opinion and it doesn't really matter.
