This is why I love Wong Kar Wai

I love this movie! My twin sister and I think back to this movie often.

Yes, I like it when the main character can carry out their revenge. Jail or not. I like it when they can carry it out to the end. No moralistic cop out.

She reminds me of actress Jung Ryeo Won.

This is still one of my favorite dramas. I don’t care what anyone says. It really grows on you. It stays with you. It actually influenced me to write a story based on the drama.

And I believe it was Indonesia (they have similar languages, so, that’s where the confusion lies).

But she could really act in a Lakorn right now. I believe it would be a nice way to revitalize her career. Her recent songs are now streamable outside of Thailand. But it took a long time to get there. I could only listen to “Location” on YouTube.

And on a side note, despite her having a following in most parts of Southeast Asia (besides Thailand), I don’t understand why she doesn’t speak more English (she can still speak Thai, but a lotta people in the comments always ask her to speak a bit in English too. But it goes ignored) in her Instagram lives or provide English subtitles/closed captions in her vlogs (the ones she posts on YouTube).

Don’t get me wrong, she is based in the Thailand. But she has developed an international fan base (she gained fame posting English covers on YouTube and she won Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards) and she can speak three (or was it 4?) languages…So, I’m not sure what the problem is.

There’s a lot of romance in this (yet, I’m not sure what you consider a lot of romance)!

And there’s no love triangles (2ML and 2FL criticize the main leads’ romance, but they aren’t rival material).

The couple do break up like 2 or 3 times (but they can never stay away from each other too long, considering it’s 32 eps).

And there’s definitely a happy ending!

So she jus won the legal battle. And she’s no longer with GMM Grammy. She said she’s independent right now, but there’s another record label she’s under. It’s a Thai one. The one who did her wrong (abused her) was Indonesian. Red Records I believe is the name. When she released “Passcode”, she was promoting under that label.

As of recent, she just finished getting her house built, and she’s released a couple singles. But that’s all. She’s appeared on a few variety shows . Yet, she said she is not returning to acting anytime soon 😞

Sorry for all of that. But that’s what I’ve learned, heard, and noticed.
