I thought she was pretty in “Hell Dogs”. I liked her look. I’ll take a look at her filmography, and see if I can find something else to watch with her in it.
I thought he was handsome (and a chaotic mess in a very fascinating way) in “Hell Dogs”. I might resume watching “Tonight, at the Movies” (that I put on hold awhile back, I didn’t even know that was him)…I miss seeing him already. 😊
I think this movie is good for Takashi Miike fans, and if anyone likes those Yakuza films they made a lot back then.
I enjoyed it.
I liked Miyavi’s look in the movie (I actually didn’t even think he was in the movie) and thought he acted great. And everyone else was great too. The last act was the best part. The fight scenes were choreographed well.
If you want to watch something on Netflix that’s a bit out there but refreshing in its own unique way...Go for it.
8.5/10 (Would give it a 9, but it’s so gruesome at times).
This movie was sweet. The message was loud and clear. Koo and Cheng had good chemistry. And the character designs were really nice and kooky. The women were baddies. I love the quote Li BingBing says at the end, that brings the theme home:
“If a relationship can cause so much pain, it’s because it also brought much happiness…This is the meaning of love.”
Despite its campiness, everyone’s performances were solid, and the chemistry was there in the cast. Carina Lau and Donnie Yen had great chemistry like they were actually old life partners, Louis Koo was a charmer, and Cecilia was bright and pretty as always.
Ah, Louis Koo is a versatile actor. He looks so different outside of his movies. In real life he looks so serious, but when looking at his early 2000s and romcom stuff, he’s so childish!
I enjoyed it.
