Andy Lau and Cecilia had great chemistry. But c’mon! Andy’s muscle suit was…cringe. But maybe it was supposed to be that way. Hong Kong films don’t take themselves too seriously, and he drops the suit at the end. So, yeah. I liked this movie.
I liked it…because I’m a Cecilia Cheung fan, and because the grandmother’s story was the most interesting part bc (it should’ve been longer and there were so many plot holes).
Yet, I was under the impression that Min broke up with Pi, because the trust was no longer there. She’d always be his first love…but doing the devil’s tango with your teacher? Who could get past that?
Therefore, I do believe Min gave Lee a chance, since she was the only one to not cause him so much pain and had his best interest at heart (nor did he mention her in the suicide note). Maybe things won’t work out for them in the future (who knows, Lee seems like a very straightforward and tells-it-how-it-is individual. So…if it didn’t work..she’d let him know), but he won’t live with the regret of not knowing whether or not Lee was the person meant for him.
I appreciated how Min’s brother decided to not study abroad due to his love and concern for him. I also don’t think Min’s parents were selfish per se. But their love languages just didn’t mesh well with Min.
Good movie. I’d watch again. A great movie score as well.
it doesn't have romance, bromance or anything like that because it's not supposed to have it...? this is totally…
But what if they hadn’t? People have different opinions when it comes to any drama. And it just appeared that you were attacking them (and you weren’t the only one). But if you and the individual came to a consensus, that’s fine. Sometimes certain opinions garner condescending responses. And if you didn’t mean to come off that way, I misunderstood.

And if y’all have differing views that’s okay. But it appeared as though you considered their comment inferior, or maybe even stupid, since you so happened to disagree. So what if it goes on the radar? It’s not bad being honest. And it is about preference because they prefer a little romance in any genre of show/movie. No biggie.
And how did the grandmother die (was it from natural causes…heartbreak?) I may’ve missed something.
