I just finished it and should say it was good but the last few episodes were kinda boring for me so I just skipped it. Good but not really special. And the last scene when she said I found you again and he just smiled even though he had no idea who she was, that was kind of funny to me and to think all of this was just a dream is even more ridiculous.

When she deceived HNJ multiple times then joining hands with SQL. I get it she is doing that for her clansmen..still it looks too much for me. Yeah ik she will change later like its the norm for these type of characters. Now I lost my mind when she told the location of LTY to SQL in the ep I am on rn, that's why I came here to vent out my anger. And I really really hope she gets better soon!
I randomly came here and now only I realised that this was Chen Zhe Yuan! While watching this back in 2021 I used to think the ml is so cute and it was him haha. I don't remember much about the drama but I still loved this ig.

But I love both the actors so much and have been waiting for years since I got into bl and got to know about this. About the story, at first JXN being interested on the affairs of YL and ZZ more was frustrating but still it was required for the story ig.
Around ep 35-36 I was really wondering why none of the loved characters were killed of yet and then suddenly as expected You Fangyin dies. Like that was really devastating to watch. I wanted a happy ending for her and Lyu Xian but ig not everyone has a good fate as our dear XW who was able to live even after so many injuries but she died just from one strike!
Other than that.. the bonding of SZY and JXN was heart warming atleast they had good friendship in this lifetime. But I am still sad about the fact that Jiang Xuehui didn't become the consort. And I still think Xue Shu deserved a more cruel ending, she died really easily. I was expecting she would get slapped by JXN for the time she got slapped twice. And that XY too literally got on my nerves a lot!
Even though the drama is mostly political it was engaging and not fully boring,in my opinion!
I absolutely love Zhang Linghe and Bai Lu. But I got less interested in historical chinese dramas so I stopped watching them gradually when this was aired. But rn I suddenly got the urge to watch a few old historical ones so I picked this up after watching Prisoner of Beauty.
And I have to say, I absolutely loved this one. Even though I have seen negative comments of ZLH's acting in this I still decided to give it a go and I definitely didn't hate it. The romance was not really there for most of the drama but still it was engaging and the storyline was good and not as some who say its boring, but everyone has a preference and that's alright!
Anyway its time for me to start chinese drama's again.

Yepp absolutely don't watch. I watched a specific scene and when the storyline reached that part I could kind of guess what's gonna happen so it was not really a surprise to watch that scene. If u hate spoilers def not watch them, skip.
Just finished ep 20 and there 0 romance, just some touchy feely with ml2 and it's exhausting honestly.
Trust me watch it fully its worth it. I used to be that type of person too who dropped a drama when there was no romance and it got boring, but this one has so much more to it than just the romance. This is a wonderful story.
I just finished prisoner of beauty and it was a hard watch seeing Xuan Lu as a villain. Her character kept getting on my nerves. I love her so much since The Untamed as our sweet Jiang Yanli and have only watched few of her other shows. So this watch really difficult. But since this made me hate even though I love her, this shows how much of a great actor she is.
