I was going to, but then realised no romance. No romance, no deal.
Nah I love a good romance, but well written shows are fine without it. There's more to humans than romance btw: friendship, relationships between people, understanding yourself, plot moving along, etc. It's crazy to say a show won't be human and moving just because it doesn't have romance.
Cheng Yi's enunciation of words could be a lot better and this has always been a problem for him he never fixed. Otherwise I think he's a great actor given a good script and great direction from director and other actors. Clearly this was lacking in this tv series, but he should have probably chosen a different script. I personally couldn't make past episode 2.
Thought the plot was a little cringey at first, but I'm actually quite hooked on Ep8. I actually like all of the characters finally at this point! I was surprised how good the acting was overall considering a lot of them were idols and have never acted at this point, the director must have done a great job.
I'm so sad about Happy Camp. It's literally my childhood until adulthood and all of my favorite actors/singers went on there. He Jiong is the best reality TV show host because he's funny but also takes care of everyone, and he's supported well by Xie Na, Du HaiTao, Li WeiJia, and Wu Xin.
Just watched episode 5 and 6. There's something interesting that I think is very real. We have scenes where the…
In reality, lots of people move on after their children die but keep them in their heart? I think that part is very real. Some do fall into depression, suicide, etc, but most people end up moving on. There was carelessness on the parents part that caused them to lose their kids. They all felt guilty because they all contributed to it, but in the end, it was mostly an accident where everything went wrong at the same time. If Geum-myeong didn't ride the bike in the storm against her parents wishes, if the Eun-myeong decided to look after his brother, if the mother didn't yell at Dong-myeong, if the father was home with the kids, or if the neighbor actually paid attention, then Dong-myeong wouldn't have died.
I've watched the Chinese version a long time ago, and although I don't remember anything, I do remember how good the plot and acting was. Comparatively, I don't think this version was as good, and a lot of the character's actions weren't explained very well. I fast forwarded quite a bit but finally finished it. It was still a good show and had a lot of great actors like IU, Lee Joon Gi, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Kang Ha Neul but I think their acting improved a lot after this show. If you don't compare it to the original, I think it's a great show and worth watching.
I've been out of good dramas to watch in awhile. Pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I'm glad that it had a happy ending and it was definitely worth that watch!
Really well produced drama and the story is unique and interesting. I would say that the acting is off sometimes, but I'm not sure it's because of cultural differences. And some of the plot is just not realistic, but it is still believable. The whole drama felt well produced, but I didn't feel connected to any of the characters/side characters.
this show is pissing me off more and more, which is rare for a rom com. At first it's LSK's character being sexist and a jerk, now it's the president or whatever taking the money from the previous chef but threatening the FL to make pickles. This show is pissing me off............
Attended a shrine? Is that you mean by wrongdoings? Truthfully speaking, to completely cancel an actor bc he attended…
Yeah I agree Hitler and the fascists in Japan are pure evilness. However, I think there's a difference between taking a picture of cherry blossoms outside the shrine and attending an event specifically to celebrate Hitler.
one of the best shows i have watched. You really have no clue. I hope writer writes more such dramas.
I absolutely hated the writing at the beginning too, but I realized it was a rom com and you can't expect too much. I think you won't be disappointed with the atypical family though, it's written really well imo.
