Yes! The mashup of the two scenes at the end with WWX's monologue played simultaneously with LWJ kneeling in the snow was better than the scenes separated in the actual episode imo. Especially WWX's ending sentence saying "I'm so useless" and then showing LWJ slowly walking away shows that both of them are probably blaming themselves for being useless. So sad :(
In the first episode most of the ppl that "MXY" met were either the juniors of the Lan Sect or the Mo family.…
Yes story wise WWX's soul is in MXY's body. As for seeing through the lens of WWX I think it's more simply because the drama can't suddenly switch to a different actor. I'm not sure if I answered your question
In the end Yan Bingyun said "This is my choice" which was answering Fan Xian's question of whether he will stand by Fan Xian's side or by the Second Prince's side. Unfortunately the drama ended on a cliffhanger so we'll have to wait until Season 2 to see :/ ppl are saying that it might just be an act that Fan Xian and Yan Bingyun put on for the Second Prince.
Just finished the first episode and I’m having trouble understanding. Why do people believe that WWX is MXY?…
In the first episode most of the ppl that "MXY" met were either the juniors of the Lan Sect or the Mo family. The Lan juniors never saw MXY before and since MXY grew up in the Jin Sect, the Mo family also never saw him before, at least not in adult form. WWX continues pretending to be MXY by wearing the mask that MXY always wears. In the original story, the resurrected WWX takes the physical form of MXY but I think because the drama can't change actors they stuck to the mask idea. Someone else pls comment on this
What confuses me is that MyDramaList is making a reference to emperor of Qing ( played by Chen Dau Ming ) but…
I heard that the actual story takes place in a fictional time setting *in the future* so the names of the dynasties and kingdoms are fictional. He is the emperor of Qing but not the same Qing as the one in real Chinese history. Edit: Northern Qi was the name of an actual place in real history but Qing did not exist
I feel the opposite lol. HOB isn't too complicated for me and I actually prefer the setting over MDZS. However,…
HAHA I get you. At some point the constant one-sided pampering from Hua Cheng got a bit boring for me. I actually preferred their relationship in book 2 when Hua Cheng was just a kid and they were working together to solve issues.
At the end there was voting and the audience voted for their top 3. Next week the audience will also vote for their top 3 and the ratings of these two weeks will be combined and the group ranked last will leave. The current ranking is: 1. Li Ke Qin and Zhou Shen 2. Fei Yu Qing and Ayunga 3. Zhang Shao Han and Xiao Zhan 4. Ren Xian Qi and Liu Yu Ning 5. Zhou Hua Jian and Jiang Yi Qiao

Haha I think your brain worked better than mine while reading this because it was already feeling complicated for me from book 2 onwards. I do like Xie Lian and I respect his pure heart but sometimes I'm just like why do you put yourself through so much..?? I actually like Hua Cheng's personality better so he is probably my favorite. The HuaLian relationship dynamics are not as good to me as WangXian. And yes I agree that I found myself anticipating the appearance of other characters over Xie Lian himself. And yep SVSSS definitely is filled with humor hahaa

Yep its exactly the backstory stuff that makes it complicated for me so in cases like these I might prefer watching a visual telling of this story first since I'm more of a visual learner. With all the different names and such presented in text form I get confused
Yea agreed. I would have been confused reading MDZS first because of the constant jumping from present to past.
Deets about novel structure of HOB (I wouldn't count as spoiler but just warning you in case): HOB is separated into several books and it is structured so that the present plot is continuous within each book but in the middle an entire book would be based in the past. There is no jumping in between past and present but more large scaled jumps from book to book.
I'm honestly surprised by the amount of ppl who say that about HOB. I've read all three novels and I have to say…
I didn't mark this comment as spoiler because I didn't really spoil anything and also to satisfy @SuibianX's curiosity about the above comment lol I guess I misspoke in my original post. I totally agree with what you said about HOB! It's definitely the best out of the 3 in terms of quality (not sure if I used the right term). It was definitely more structured. But I felt that it was the most complicated out of the 3 maybe because the backstory is very complicated (?). I'm sure that if I reread it after the initial taster then I probably will like it more.

We meet again haha! I remember last time we spoke you were still reading book 1. Book 1 was very straight forward for me but once it got to later books things started getting ??? for me. So I'm interested in your opinion after you finish the whole thing (if you haven't already).
Not The Untamed related but MXTX related: *inserts plug for MXTX lol* I've read the entirety of Heaven's Official Blessing and am in the middle of the Scum Villain's Self-Saving System and omg what can I say except MXTX is such a genius writer for coming up with such complicated plots!! Although to be honest, I did not like HOB as much as I thought I would mainly because the story logic is extremely complicated so I wasn't exactly sure what was going on the whole time heheheh...BUT SVSSS is really good so far and the story is the least complicated out of the 3 novels but still highly interesting! I recommend y'all check them out.

Ep 33-50 is present day again
