Really smart female lead or just the writer being ridiculous. Seriously??? carrying all the money she earned while she's peddling illegal stuff instead of stashing it somewhere safe. Everyone knows that's how its done /s.
Yang Mi really has a teeny tiny voice. I actually thought she had a pleasing and elegant voice in Eternal Love. That was before I knew that was not her own and dubbing was pretty much standard procedure in China.
LOL. I am really speachless.Mb I am biased but I see that as envy that their own Chinese scriptwriters can't take…
This is so incredibly ignorant and false. Never mine you come off as a low info bias commentator. This is one of the first good high budget fantasy action drama from K-drama land and then suddenly you consider it better than anything China has ever produced. Yeah very objective post there.
There's obviously a strong wuxia element in this drama but I don't see how this drama is a copycat of a known wuxia work. This is only from my fairly limited knowledge of that genre. That said the Hong sisters would be lying if they say this is entirely original idea.
I'll watch this if the FL dies in the end. There is no way end hell they can justify letting her have a happy ending after she stole a body and put her soul in it. She's Lord Voldermort personified.
Sunniang... the best character in the drama, periodt
Yes she's got the most character development and is constantly improving herself. Frankly if not for her great chemistry with the ML, I would not like the FL. Far too stoic and prideful. Frankly she's just as naive as Yinzhang imo.
I need something more substantial from this drama for it to be consider a good one. The chemistry of the leads is excellent, one of the best I've seen in drama land, but I expected more from this plot.
Over half episodes have gone by and all I see are the main leads with that incredibly annoying and sassy waitress sideshow scurrying here and there without moving the plot. Seriously where is the Imperial Family, the Empress who has been a constant affair in this drama and she's never seen. The factions of the court that are going head to head and all I see is LYF character going to the Gao's again to give unneeded advice to her ex's current fiancee. Because it's just so fine butting into other people's business. When will they finally end this Ouyang arc. It's becoming tiresome and make the FL look like a thick and jeered woman that can't read the situation and can't move on. Enough!
Yinzhang is again with another rehashed plot line with what looks like another shady character if Hao Hao words are to be believe. Frankly I'm not interested in her story. Hopefully her pipa skills open up another story and avenue because frankly another doom romance is just a plain waste of time. Speaking of waste of time. I'll also add here that new sassy sidekick they've procured that seem to take up precious drama real estate when it looks like she's nothing substantial to the story. My quota of bratty and overbearing characters is ideally zero.
And for the good part at least I'm seeing Sanniang have a change of heart and personality develop. It looks like she might have a reunion with her son very soon. Among the three she seems to have the most development.
Anyway I'm hoping they push this story more to a better direction because I feel this plot is mostly stagnating. Lovey dovey moments between the leads is fine but it should ideally be a filler especially in a historical political drama.
It seems this drama is a train wreck. I was so hoping to see more of Wang Zi Xuan. I don't think I'll start this one as I'm not exactly a fan of the FL and the ML isn't my cup of tea.
What an incredibly tactless, presumptuous and inaccurate comment. Never mind reading such condescending and asinine…
Please don't put words into my mouth as I've never claim this drama is a masterpiece unlike someone who loudly asserts Something in the Rain is some top class work with a deep message and an intellectual fulfilling production. It's a freakin romcom drama. Seeing the few C-dramas you like only includes Find Yourself makes one realize you really have a superficial understanding and experience of Chinese dramas in general. But then we already know that basing from your original comment.

Does this drama also have Madame Sarkozy constantly crooning to some languid cabaret number like the "original" one. I haven't watch much of it as of now. Oh wait with your level of intellect I don't think you'd know who I'm talking about. That's pretty much what I remember from that drama. Since her song was played like a broken record.
Claiming that drama was some high quality and high class shit is really stretching it.
This series is just a cheesy and boring copy of korean drama Something In The Rain, which is just fantastic. Everything…
What an incredibly tactless, presumptuous and inaccurate comment. Never mind reading such condescending and asinine tripe. Good God, try to have a more original complaint next time instead of coming here claiming every other Chinese drama is some Kdrama ripoff.
still upset they're airing immortal samsora before SWKMM ): I'll still support immortal samsora but why can't…
I'm so not in the mood for xianxia dramas. I feel like watching TMOPB, HSALF, and L&R and you'd pretty much covered every xianxia drama there is. I'm always up for wuxia and palace politics dramas though. Something like Stand by Me which I greatly enjoyed. I'd been hoping to see this after watching that.
I wanna finish this as I wasn't able to complete this when I first watched this years ago. However because of a tragic event with one of the actors of this drama I'm having a hard time picking this up again.
