I do get phob did it for greater good and we havent completely seen what he has gone through in 11 years but he shouldnt have involved tin and used him, after all he saw how much tin loves him and was willing to sacrifice for him. Tin even asked soo many times if anything is bothering him. The novel spans over 15 - 20 years. They meet when they were 20 and 23 respectively... so we might see character looks changing.. As for seperation, Luiyi choose to go to prison at the end for his crimes and cooperared with police to expose the gang... he didnt want to waste chusans life waiting for him so he breaks up with him and painfully ignores chusan for 4 years without meeting him on visitations until chusan plays a trick to get him out of his noble idiocity shell... so i guess we will have similar seperation in the series... its a happy end, luiyi gets out of jail early and they get married...

I would say 70% close. The FML here shows more feelings/emotions than the novel. I feel like in the novel she is more into him towards the end, but here they are both devoted and protective towards each other once theyve established an understanding and they make sure the other is aware that they are worried for eachother. Ocourse ML more than FML. They did keep the essense of boh the characters from the novel.
The show seems soo much different from novel. Not that I’m complaining… is it weird that I’m njoying the show more? Curious how much more different it’s going to be.

I don't think he did tell her. He yu, the other GO prodigy girl who has a crush on him tells the FL about it. she pits FL against ML telling her he only approached the FL coz his psychiatrist advised him to meet the FL often as she is the only one the ML can see colors on and it might help him overcome his psychological issue like a medicine.
