So many people are watching this now that it's over and getting lots of hype from current fans. In my opinion to new watchers, never watch anything based on hype, pls. Watch it because you actually have some interest π the show has its flaws but those flaws are exacerbated by the fact people wasn't interested in story, they just fomo. π it'll only go downhill from there if you only watch because of hype π
Fun fact. The actress for the old nurse lady with the chopped hairdo also plays a minor role as one of the servant character in the original Love Destiny.
I like to concept for Wad and Reung. The contrast between past and present is nice, but the way it was executed was horrible. I think the intimate scene at the end of ep5 was added too early on. It doesn't work well with the development of the past relationship because it's still obviously one-sided. It would have worked better as a reveal after the past relationship has already developed, at least to a point where viewers can see it was mutual, so it adds context that oh, the present is also the same, boom here's an NC. But with the fact Reung is still just pining and Wad seemingly being into Dech, the sex scene in the present just feels out of place.
A lot of people asking for Season 2. Any news of Season 2 or another new series from them??
No news so far. Aside from the magazine photoshoots, they're curruntly doing fan-meetings. I assume once the fan-meets are done, they're officially done with promotion for the show and that'll be the last time they appear on screen together π€·ββοΈ General rule of thumb for BLs (except Thai BL), never expect more than 1 season or multiple series with same actorsπ
Somewhat unrelated but if you guys enjoyed this show and read manhwa too, then try No Moral on Manta. I think there's a novel too, I haven't read it. I'm only on chapter 70 so I don't know how the ending will be but the basic premise is similar with laws and crimes, hate to love, and a rocky relationship with an annoying top who 'hates' but can't resist the bottom. The big difference between these two stories would be that the bottom is more assertive in his feelings toward the top because he knows top can't resist him π
Iβm trying to understand if the other prosecutor was part of the scheme or not, since he called asking Chaeha…
He's not. In the novel, Mr.Song orchestrated it. He knew Prosecutor Yoon would be busy and can't come into office to meet with an informant, so he intentially made a false statement that an informant turned up, so that Chaeha could be asked to come instead.
Btw before anyone goes crazy for the "I respect all your fetishes" line toward Chaeha, just know it is all slander. Yes, Chaeha eventually responds well toward Taeseon's nasty tastes, but the only certified freak in this relationship is Ju Taeseon π«Ά
Here is a list of things (both conventional and unconventional) that I recall have been used in or on Lee Chaeha and I hope this is enough to convince you guys to try out the novel if you have time and are a little bored. 1. Spit. (not just a sexy string of saliva, like actual mouthful of spit) 2. Cum. 3. Ice cream pop. 4. Hancuffs. 5. Spanking. 6. Mirror sex. 7. Taeseon's big toe.
Anyone is free to add to the list of notable things. Those are just most memorable for me atm. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Finishing this show really makes me sad about the 'what ifs' where if we had gotten a fully fleshed out 1 hr long episodes with time to develop the plot and relationships ππ while the show tried their best, this really felt like a sparksnotes version if you read the novel. Especially these final episodes it just feels like chopped up scenes mashed together to create a cohesive timeline.
We got lots of good tension and new delicious nc scenes (Chaeha my #1 moaner, forever top spot) but that's just half the battle. A story cannot thrive on those alone and the unfortunate thing is the plot and the cases were severely simplified.
Siwoo and Yoonsik talk very happily about potential of s2 and making this the longest running BL series and working on other projects together. Apparently a romance comedy is something they're interested in. Whether that's just lip service or they truly mean it, but I think everyone will be very happy to see them together again π
Gonna rewatch this again from start to finish and pray for a miracle π
can someone help, pls? i need to know when exactly i should start avoid social medias and platforms to avoid spoilers…
Most of the spoilers come from Chinese fans. The episode releases on Thursday July 23rd on Gagaoolala, while on wavve it releases on Friday July 24th.
I always see spoilers 12hrs before Thursday where I am at (meaning I usually see spoilers around Wednesday evening, which would be around Thursday morning for China). I live in the US. So, since Thursday for China is 12hrs ahead, I assume if you want to avoid spoilers, try to stay off socials from 12-24 hours before the episode release on where you live.
Ep 7. 17:10. They explain the connection with a visual board.

This was good and I enjoyed it but it could have been so much more π©
