I just watched the IG live by the actors. In one of the portion, they acknowledged the short comings of the drama and regrets, and rooms for improvement as actors. They also talked about the unfortunate nature of cutting out so much of the novel to fit into 10 episodes. Overall, they didn't pretend like the show was perfect and showed that despite that, they were very thankful for everyone's support.

I think it's a refreshing take from them. I do agree with them. I don't think the show is perfect at all, some parts I do think it needs work, but I still enjoy it.

Both actors were very fond of working with each other and seemed to have had a positive experience on this project, both speaking excitedly about the prospect of a second season and even mentioning working together again. I'm not expecting much but hopefully we see them together on another project 🥰

I agree. Consent is hard to pinpoint when the parties are drunk, especially that one is much more drunk than the other. I wish this sexual scene was done when they were both fully sober. But did Taeseon get him drunk with obvious intention of having sex with him? I wouldn't say. It's more like things kind of just escalated to that point. A domino effect more so than premeditation.

Honestly since they enphasized the grabbing of the carrots, I thought they were gonna do a scene where it implies Taeseon uses the carrot on Chaeha to prep him.....

Btw in the novel, Taeseon actually gave Chaeha the finger cone by his own will because he didn't want Chaeha's thumb to chafe from turning pages all day long. The cone he gave Chaeha was a size smaller. While Chaeha was called out by another staff to discuss something, Taeseon who yearned for Chaeha's heat so much he put Chaeha's blue cone on his finger first. The novel described him stretching the cone around his finger and thumb (to me, it likely symbolizes his want to stretch Chaeha's you know what). Chaeha was outside the office and caught him in the act and was super confused by Taeseon's actions. The yearning in the novel was top notch 👌

Anyway, Chaeha has been bullied all his life, he's used to taking it from everyone. His backbone toward Taeseon might have just been his limit, especially because Taeseon was someone he respected and admired.

The kiss in ep 2 didn't follow the novel so it was inserted randomly. But given the clues, you can read between the lines that he hates Chaeha but he's also attracted to Chaeha. When those feelings combine and erupt, its outward action is a violent kiss.
