I loved the scene when Linqi's mother interrogated Cuique! She was furious but controlled it, listened to Cuique's side of the story, and gave her the benefit of the doubt. She's probably starting to suspect cuique's real intentions atp.

Yes that was so well done! And 4th little brother is so cute! I liked how Lanxiang got him to help her. LX is amazing 🤩
And the plot is definitely moving along, with Jin Qi realizing how capable & smart LX is. She saved him & his family from a potentially huge embarrassment & disaster!
In the middle of Ep 11, omg how can a drinking game about poetry & medicinal flowers be so exciting!? 😂
I was so stressed before the grandfather walked in with larkspur in his hat! Lanxiang our heroine...I wonder if ML will later find out how she saved him here.
The Zhao family elders don't view their women as worthy or important enough to have an education. Unlike the Shen family and probably other families who have been part of the political elite for generations and believe literacy shouldn't be restricted to men. Well the Zhaos are relatively new to the political academic arena so I guess it's understandable that their thinking is still backwards..
Ep 9 - I've never heard of yarrow stick divination before! So interesting.
I'm so far really impressed with Lanxiang. She is so clever and perceptive. I was so impressed at how she managed to get herself and Xiao Lian out of that perilous situation at the library. Not only did she save herself & her friend, she now has an amazing scholar for an ally!
Ep 8's library scene was so thrilling! Like a cat-and-mouse chase. So well-done! 👏👏👏
Love everything about this so far! ♥️ The atmosphere, the pacing, the characters, the details, it's like I've travelled back in time. Such a pleasure to watch everything unfold so beautifully.
This is soo good so far! I am so glad to watch as this airs cuz if not I would be a walking zombie, dropping everything & binging. The world building, the acting, the way the story is unfolding! Wow! LXY is wonderful as usual! 🙌 Absolutely love Seven's character too👏
But goodness, that 1st episode, I was shocked & in tears 😭😫.
I haven't seen ep 18 yet, but thought that FINALLY! in ep 16-17 there is growth in their relationship! A little more honesty, understanding, & closeness between them after what happened with Dony. Before that, it just felt so shallow with huge power imbalance. Like they don't really know each other, don't talk, and are not that close.
