The Jinxiu emperor is openly crazy while Jingshi hides his true nature, he’s a real fake and hypocrite. Both are psychopaths, willing to kill their own people, so imo really neither are fit to rule. But kinda agree that the emperor edges out Jingshi since you know what to expect from him!

One thing I liked in ep 29 or 30 was when the princess told the Jinxiu empress dowager that all her decisions were made by her and her alone, and she won’t listen to anyone. Shes consistent. And willing to live (and die) with the consequences of her (stupid) actions. I wonder if she’ll start making better more
cutthroat decisions and if she’ll make it to the end. Since she’s aligned now with Jingxiu emperor and made it clear to XJS that she hates him, she might get caught in the crossfires of his
assassination plot.

Here’s hoping conflict with the Storm Alliance resolves quickly and so that they can help FSG in final battle against XJS. They owe him and his mother!

As long as there's redemption for these crazies, it'd be fun to watch a spin-off! Also saw the previews and intrigued that the princess wants Jinxiu emperor to kill Murong father & son. She is not so useless after all!

omg it's so good! Even with all the makjang stuff going on in the last few episodes.

I thought the pacing & editing were better in ep 29 & 30, more like the first half of the drama.

This is just honestly one of the best dramas I;ve seen, so exciting and love the plot, characters, music, cinematography, camera angles, lighting, costumes, dishware, really everything! I"m so invested in the side characters too, like Dr. Ling and FSG's loyal troops. Really love the MC and hoping for a HE!!! Also excited that ruthless FSG is back!

Just started watching ep 29, and omg will there be another enemies to lovers trope developing between Jinxiu emperor & Susha princess?!?

I'm so affected by Guyu's death and turn of events the MC are now facing. I also can't believe Murong father has turned traitor for his son. Too tragic.

Also thinking it will be really unexpected if the princess FXY saves Susha by using the Jinxiu emperor...

Totally agree! It's a complete shit show in Susha, really exciting & crazy! What's going on in Jinxiu is kinda entertaining too, like the emperor there is so unhinged!

ep 26 was so intense! so drained right now

also really liked what happened between Jinxiu emperor & princess FXY with the roses, and how Murong father entered the palace grounds carrying the thorny branches on his back with the empress watching him! Somehow the way these scenes were filmed was really interesting and I want to know more of what will happen next!

omg ep 25 Murong father & son scenes were so good! Everyone is acting so well! MY is a conflicted bag of filial piety & hypocrisy, of good & bad intentions. Like his father, I am also willing to let go as long as he admits his crimes.

can't believe susha emperor is such a nutcase! he's totally responsible for FSG's mom's death 😡. feel so sorry for FSG 💔

I'm finally understanding the emperor more and how he felt threatened by FSG's mom. Her strengths and values which drew him to her, he eventually came to despise. He really didn't love nor accept her in the end, very tragic. Just loved himself / loved power. Looks like he has some regrets though.

Random thoughts on the recent ep 23-24,

-In the interest of being filial, the actions of Murong son & Zhuang son were too short-sighted. Couldnt these 2 predict the consequences of their actions? like treason, death for themselves & their families?

-I wasn't that surprised the emperor was pretending to be in a coma lolol. Laughed so much when Dr. Ling said to FSG that his Dad was in a bad mood because of all the treachery being unloaded onto him, like from Zhuang prime minister, and the empress. Imagine, the emperor was completely aware when she was freaking out and forcing him to eat zongzi! Lol, the restraint...

-Feeling sorry for the princess FXY at this point. She fell head over heels and love knows no reason. Still wondering if there will be some kind of redemption arc for her, or will she succumb to the lecherous advances of the treacherous Jinxiu emperor because of her lonely & desperate feelings? Hopefully she'll wisen up & gain some dignity & self-respect.

-I can understand where both the emperor & FSG's Mom are coming from. There are certain rules that had to be followed, but at the same time, she wanted to protect her children and ensure their happiness, which she thought would be impossible if they were raised in the imperial court.

-The way the emperor treated his son though was terrible. I agree with others - there are better ways to raise a crown prince. Why go through all that pretense, manipulation & toxicity?

-Final scenes in ep 24 were really good!Acting skills of FSG & the emperor were great!

-Love the MC! FYX is such a badass! Love her! FSG is also amazing & lucky to have FYX in his life. Their path as a couple is similar to his parents', hopefully theirs will be a HE.

-Recurring theme among the villains is hypocrisy, which to the MC is disgusting & unforgivable!
