I would like to open mic, Xu Kai's fans has never been against any of his drama choices because that's his career and only he knows the situatons of how things decided to be. Thank you for confirming the low quality of YZ fans by saying you wish for a lesser known actor for this female centriccl drama. Saying this is basically being a typical idol fans who tried to control their artist. There are currently two people who complained about the screentime and you and the other person decided to call it as facts that shouldn't be denied. This female centric drama should just have one actress alone. Let her act on her own, no one else should steal her spotlight in this female centric drama right? This is the quality of fans you are.

Having catch up with all the episodes these are my thoughts:
I don't find CH mother that annoying, but then maybe I'm Asian and I've seen my best friends and friends mother being worst than CH mother, at least she has the best interest in her heart for her daughter albeit she is a bit materialistic.
I'm glad this drama didn't try to make anyone unnecessarily evil, the crisis so far were cause by human and society flaws. For example Xin Jialiang, he is not a bad person, any other drama would have had his character being this jerk to justify the impending breaks up, but it can be seen so far that he is really just typical rich kids growing up without having to take on any responsibility. He genuinely likes Cheng Huan but he is not a man who is ready for marriage, to be a responsible husband, he is dependent on her and treating her as someone who will always solve whatever problem he had, he mistaken this as his "love" for her. He couldn't even properly defend Cheng Huan infront of his family. Not to mention he didn't have conscience to properly arrange a respectable plan for any of his important decision, for example, proposing to Cheng Huan, not telling her the truth about his background, etc.

As for YZM, the biggest interesting surprise to me is the relationship between him and his grandma, from previews before airing I thought they are this cute and close grandma and grandson. It can be seen so far that this is not the case. They are like old fox and young fox, both are wary of each other upfront. YZM at the moment is an ambitious man, cunning but he obviously still keep a boundaries.

All in all, I hope the plot develop smoothly, some of the scenes did drag and unnecessary explain but there's always forward button.

Lastly, this drama highlight the flaws of society, where sometimes we don't realize we are looking down on others by putting them on a certain hierarchy of status especially the scenes with Xin Jiali. She obviously put herself on a certain high pedestal, not realizing that her very action is the exact description of character that she look down on. So I hope the audience can learn from this, where calling an actor fans as idol fans as if he has no talent to attract serious drama watcher and another saying they wish they hired an unknown actors another disdain of looking down on actors status is not worthy of the actress status. Let's not be Xin Jiali, be Cheng Huan, the haters will keep coming, there is no use to find whose haters or whose fans is the reason behind the sabotage on rating. Focus on the drama, and enjoy as the plot unfolded, no matter who appears on screen.

Because the beginning of the story focus on how their relationship is platonic hence he is just an outsider to the fl as she is attached to someone else. but after fl breaks up and their relationship develop where he will be in more and more scenes. Not every drama have to be typical about two people in their world full of love from the beginning etc. Sometimes the fate of two people being together is influence by how they make choices in their life and based on characteristics, hence the earlier episodes is this process. Which is a breath of fresh air from other typical story where main leads have to be in every scenes together.
