Yeah it's really complicated and puzzling why they wanted to use the word plagiarism, i think that terms was wrongly use here, from what I see the situation is more like an author make a character who is obsessed with carrot and someone decided to sue the author because he likes carrot as well because the author must have "plagiarized" him the thing is the player themselves didn't say anything, it was the sports fans.

No this is not true, in fact as VivaceFay pointed, Yanxi Palace is actually more historically accurate, and I have watch both dramas and I am also an avid fan of history who has read both history, Ruyi already make a staggering historically inacurate plot when they made the Step Empress as main lead who is misunderstood.

1. When in history it is obvious how angry the emperor is with her and Consort Chun that he did not put her in the same tomb as him even when there is one more empty tomb by the time he died.

2. The fact that he put Empress Fuca on his right and consort ling on his left in his imperial tomb showed his favor towards them, only three were mentioned multiple times in his poem, Empress Fuca, Consort Ling and Gao. Ruyi made step empress to be a childhood friend of Qianlong which is historically inacurate

3. Ruyi made a plot to show that all the harem candidates were chosen on the same day when in history it clear shows the timeline order who entered the palace first among the consorts.

Reason China ban is actually because they think Yanxi palace influence their people to strive for richness. Not because of history accuracies.

Actually if you read the original reason for banning is because the government think Yanxi palace could negatively influence the people of China to strive for richness due to it's detail costume and set portrayal.

No problem, there are obvious movement by the esports circle to boycott this drama and plan to sabotage it's douban score but despite those, this drama remains either No.1 or at least Top 3 in most anticipated drama to watch in Q4 and thr international esports circle respond is also a contrast as they are more amused and interested rather than attacking the drama. I say the novel describe accurately the obsessive culture of fangirls in esports. (any fandom actually)

Apparently the author was accused of plagiarism by esports fans for using some of the real esports gamers id and some real esports events in League of Legends in China. But from some snippet I've seen the script have changed to Onmyouji Esports only the id remains. Author said that it was a chronicles mix with fiction(romance part) but esports fans hated it because it disrespects their favourite gamers so it seems we have another Xiao Zhan's AO3 type of situation from esports fans.

He does! he's good at making that eyes looks really affectionate everytime! lol my siblings binge watching this late until 2 am and we had to cover our mouth or slap each other in order not to wake our parents XD Oh that part is so well acted! Ot really touches you how precious your time with parents, I also love the part when he just woke up after fainted and talk with his mom, the acting is so natural and well delivered the emotion required for that moment.

Yay! I'm so glad you pushed through! It really get so good after episode 4 onwards. I cracked up so much at the master and desciple antics. Haha OMG the dance art I was covering my face because I'm laughing too much. The FML does grows on you although she is a bit awkward at the start. Xu Kai is good at pulling off comedy as well right? I was so blown away how he can upgrade the craziness of Gu Yanzhen to Wang Lu flawlessly. Such a good actor.

Haha I think you and I start watching cdrama around the same time and the stories you listed are some that I have watched as well.

I forgot to tell you that Lingjian Mountain is so crazy that it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but the drama is considered as one of the best anime manhua(manga) adaptation and Xu Kai further gain a widespread recognition in terms of acting within China because of this drama.

hahaha yeah he is not. lucky me i like historical drama and his acting is just so good and contrast that u feel headache coming how this is the same actor who play Gu Yanzhen.

No problem! I'd say Xu Kai is brave to take on this comedic role because it could fall flat but he is so good it even got in top 20 best drama earlier this year.

Agree so much! Such a talented actor I am blown away especially when I watch in the order of Yanxi Palace--> The Legends ---> Arsenal Military Academy ---> Once upon a time in lingjian mountain.

You seriously have to check out his acting in Once Upon a Time in Lingjian mountain, he can pulled off comedy excellently as well!
