I don't have sympathy towards Cui Lin feeling aggrieved the Young Master died, all her tears felt nothing to me, she didn't even feel this bad when young master betrayed Zhenxi Army who has save him and bring him back to health, heck Zhenxi Army even help buried their fallen comrade, and all she can say is it wasnt me? but when her young master died she like lost half of herself of something. Zhenxi army did nothing wrong and she doesn't even care and they even have the audacity to feel angry at Zhenxi Army for not saving the young master.

So when Sun Jing rebel, they put their stake in the on-the run little crown prince with hope that by saving him and keep him in their camp, their family will achieve merit with good deeds and awarded when the little crown prince became an emperor. Han Li is just another rich governor who swings his way according to who is in power and took advantage of anyone who he see can get rid of his problems. So right now the opposing side is Sun Jing but when a kingdom fell, with no real legitimacy in power, many sides will start to take advantage of the situation hence we see many grey intention. I think you are mistaken that ML and FL tried to kill Pei Yuan, when did that happened? All these will unfold as you keep watching until the recent release episode 14.
