- One is historical the other is apocalyptic.
- Palace setting and apartment complex setting.

Golden Kamuy: The Hunt of Prisoners in Hokkaido is the sequel to the first live action film of the Golden Kamuy series, and Golden Kamuy: The Abashiri Prison Raid follows this drama so it should be recommended.
