Yoshinari Chinami, who has been selling buttons and fabric at a clothing material store in an old neighbourhood of Tokyo, unexpectedly finds herself working at the editorial division of a fashion magazine and is thrilled. The fashion industry is a dazzling world which she has never seen before. But what opens up to her is a terrifying den of demons where females prey on each other day after day … … From the low-level person who has to do odd jobs for a lifetime to the uppermost level which manipulates magazines and advertisements at will, it is an industry of dramatic disparities. It is also a ridiculous female world where women assign ratings and rankings change everyday. The only way to survive in this harsh place is to be “first class”. Chinami’s only friend is the assistant photographer Nishihara Itsuki. Will she be able to to find happiness in this fashion hell?

Also You Are My Glory. All three are super light, no third party, just have the right amount of fluff, no break ups. Story wise, basically runs through the same theme, all three served for their country, and fell in love with a beauty.
- Amazing Soundtracks that complement the screenplay
- Slice of life with melodrama pacing
- Leads who are disappointed with their life but find comfort in each other
- Side characters with more than one-dimensional roles

So..
It may seem well off but Penthouse strikes to be the much more modern and adapted version of Boys Over Flowers. I believe they follow the same basic plan of a drama and develop into different plots. In both series, a lot happens in every episode. The plot of Penthouse is more thought out and the quality of the drama is top. I rate both these dramas very highly, Boys Over Flowers is more of a comfortable vibe.
There will also be other similar shows such as:
Heirs (Inheritors)
Sky Castle
Meteor garden
The Chinese/ Thai remakes of BOF also
And other similar dramas…

From the Kong Sang Continent comes the tale of the tumultuous love story of Princess Zhu Yan of the Chi Yi Tribe and Royal Prince Shi Ying,
The framing of the Queen results in the Prince being banished to Jiu Yi Mountain to cultivate. Once solely focused on his tasks, he develops romantic feelings for his disciple Zhu Yan. But their student/teacher relationship prevents either from expressing their true feelings.
Fate then works against them when they choose opposing sides in a political struggle of life and death proportions.
Eventually, putting aside their issues, they pledge to protect their beloved Kong Sang Continent.

Both of these Japanese minidramas center around a lead character longing for love, imagining various romantic interests tied to that episode's cooked dish.
Seventeen-year-old Hira, who is at the bottom of the class, tries to remain invisible at school, never wanting to open his mouth and expose his stuttering speech to his classmates. He views the world through his camera lens, detached until one day, Kiyoi Sou walks through the classroom door. The impact is instantaneous.
Hira finds himself pulled into Kiyoi's gravity, following him everywhere and attending to his every need. Popularity comes easily to beautiful Kiyoi, who is always surrounded by his classmates. He uses his status to get what he wants, ordering around the boy who stares at him with his big eyes and seems to worship him like a god.
Hira contents himself to merely exist within Kiyoi's orbit, asking for nothing in return…
