Both movies are set in the 90s Korean high school life. The main genres are romance and melodrama, and I found it interesting how both of these are centred around the school's radio club. Very nostalgic and beautifully shot.

Similar to "My Life's Golden Age (2008), in "Golden Pouch", Documentary Producer Geum Seol Hwa was adopted by the Geum family, also she was born with congenital heart defect. Dr. Han Seok Hoon, the male character, is arrogant and rude toward Seol Hwa while she is filming a documentary in the emergency department at the hospital where he is the chief cardio-thoracic surgeon. Eventually he is attracted and falls in love with Geum Seol Hwa, She needs a heart transplant for her cardiomyopathy and Dr. Han is the surgeon that saves her life. "Golden Pouch" is a beautiful slow burn drama and Dr. Han Seok Hoon (portrayed by actor Jin Yi Han) and Producer Geum Seol Hwa (portrayed by actress Ryu Hyo Young) have amazing on-screen chemistry that is unrivaled. I truly recommend "Golden Pouch" if you like "My Life's Golden Age". Both Drama Series were directed by talented director Kim Dae Jin, he always makes the drama series suspenseful and not "going round and round".
