Both drama have:

1. Male Leads are green flag! Both are nice, good listener, and very supportive of Female Lead

2. Many relatable, mature, heartwarming and realistic conversations between the leads.

3. Female Leads are independent and straightforward however they sometimes feel insecure and inferior due to their background.

The plot is definitely different but I find both of these drama were written by the same screen writer.

Although the plot is not similar, these drama give you heartwarming feelings and the writer put many meaningful and realistic conversations that most people can relate. Also I can see some settings are the same such as He Ziqiu's cafe is the same with the cafe where the FML's bestfriend work.

In both female leads in 1st part of movie is cute and relies on the male lead.
Difference is in LBF&D the FL becomes the god and plays amnesia to the ML whereas in Song of the moon its the male lead.

Both dramas revolve around common themes like infidelity, friendship, tangled relationships b/w family members (due to scandalous affairs), authoritarian in-laws, mid-life crisis, etc
As usual we have makjang elements & clichés added but deep down the plots are quite realistic as they deal with human desires & instincts fighting wit human duties & social laws.
How our MC’s strike a balance b/w the above factors is the driving point of the plot & it gives us a lot to ponder upon.

Both the dramas have the same ML & a similar setting so if you liked one you may want to try the other too.

Both are historical Korean dramas with similar pacing and tone, with the first couple/few episodes focusing on the ML's parents before the ML grows up and becomes the focus of the story. Both MLs have superhuman strength and are feared/wanted to be killed by others. The FLs are the ML's second love, not first. Both featuring supporting characters who are courtesans and are heavily involving in the politics of the country. The villain remains largely in power/on top for the entire drama, only meeting his end in the final episode.

High school girl and adult hero relationship. Both Japanese and both full of romance. I like watching Japanese romance movies and I really enjoyed these. If you want to dream and you do not expect a lot, I recommend you to watch them.
