kinda similar ml dies and comes back after 12+ years.
although in TU the ml can stay back as he was brought back to life due to a ritual.
both ml set out to solve the reasons of their deaths and also just like in RW lot of people believe that the ml was the murderer.
also get to see sibling bonds although its a bit of a sad story for the siblings in TU
TU is a Chinese costume drama. but you should give it a try.
warning ?? it keeps getting sad every time you rewatch the drama.

- Noona Romance ( older woman / younger man )
- Sports Centered
- Female leads are both coaches
- Playful younger male lead

Despite the plot differences (no face swapping), the dramas have some similarities, albeit small.
The main similarities:
•The male leads are generals
•The female leads are painters
•The relationship is slow but trusting, the ML will steal your heart
The amount of episodes and their duration are longer but it's worth it. You may need to have patience with the FL and the particular storyline but you might enjoy it. Give it a try!

In both cases FL is the book writer and ML is the villain and they fall in love. In "Fall in Love in the Book" FL enters in the book world. In ”Mr. Bad" the character gets out from the book to our world. "Fall in Love in the Book" is a class B mini-series but the plot is comprehensible for their 5 minutes episodes. "Mr. Bad" is a drama with 45 minutes episodes and there is more character development.

=> 1990s setting
=> we begin and end the show with the adult versions of the female leads
=> very active female lead who loves sports
=> focuses on both the friendships and the romantic experiences of the female lead
=> two female leads shown as often chatting each other on the computer
=> most likely the audience will have a similar reaction in how the main love story in both dramas fold out
=> main difference is that there is no love triangle in 2521 while there is in 20th century girl

Both have boys that are being bullied and being helped by another boy, I really liked The Eclipse and it does have suspense and romance in it. Give it a try.
As I was watching TLB and the focus went to the grasslands (Ashile tribe), I immediately got reminded of Empress Ki. I watched Empress Ki years ago but despite watching it a long time ago, it has still left a lasting impact on me. In Empress Ki, we have the Mongolians. While both FL in the drama grew up in different backgrounds, both are brave warriors who are good at fighting and cross dressed as males. But I would have to warn that Empress Ki is a bit more hardcore and intense in terms of all the plotting and schemings, and the characters in Empress Ki aren't as likeable as in TLB. While I can't seem to name what's so similar about the two dramas, I personally enjoyed both .
Both male leads are from wealthy family. They somehow live with female lead, hide their identity. The Japanese one more serious and beautiful cinematography. Soft tone and gentle watch. Chinese one female lead acted like dumb and not realistic.
Both have supernatural/fantasy aspect, the male lead is hardworking, the female lead has a silly side to her. In Jinxed At First, the ML is unlucky, and here the FL is unlucky. Overall it seems like both are similar mix of romance, comedy, drama and fantasy.

If you love Ima Wakai Mon Wa you will also love Juhan Shuttai!!.. both are stupidly funny to enjoy after tiring day but at the same time refreshing and motivated..
Both are historical, mostly light dramas focusing on a trio of characters in a love triangle but in a more unconventional way. All three have bantering interactions but also work together well. The FL starts out more with the SML and eventually ends up with the ML.
Both are mini dramas with an upper crust FL who is already engaged to a scholar/scholar-type when she becomes entangled with the ML who is a bandit using a false identity. Despite his roughness around the edges and them clashing at the start, his good heart makes her slowly warm to him and the two fall in love.
