This was the TV adaptation of the 1st volume of all the books. All the leads were different actors though so likely was produced by a different group of people then. I believe all the TV adaptations belong to Tencent though….

The plot is similar in my opinion. While our MC in One Million Yen Girl moves around, the MC in Little Forest simply moves to a rural area (and Little Forest is focused on cooking while One Million Yen Girl isn't). But, I feel like both MC's are running away from themselves until eventually they come to face themselves. The vibes are pretty similar too: pleasant melancholy all around. Similar aesthetic and cinematography in my opinion too.

FL vs. ML are from "Meow Planet" and are shapeshifting human/cats who occasionally appear as a human with cat ears. Both owe a debt to the human who saved them and remain on earth to pay back that debt, but are very protective of and fall in with the human.

the vibe is literally the exact same but MSL is by far better production-wise.
