Both are short length stories featuring a strong-willed FL and a ML with two very different personalities.

Both dramas have an extrovert FL and a very withdrawn ML who everyone thinks is odd until his relationship with the FL brings him out of his shell. Both are sweet dramas with no love rivals or breakups for the main couple.

School 2017 and Our Times have a similar fluffy feel and also tragic back story for the ML. They are both set in high school and include a protesting against the school plotline.

•Both dive into the minds of the FL (in Yumi’s cell it’s literal but in BTIMFL it’s a metaphorical dive in her mind)

Because This is My First Life is a very realistic approach to contract marriages. But BTIMFL focuses more on the romance while Yumi’s Cells focuses on life more. Both are realistic and feel good dramas. Must Try!

Both shows have very similar atmospheres. Creepy and mysterious with a touch of humor. Both also share the theme of creepy neighbours (the neighbours in the apartment in rose mansion and the fellow patients and staff at the hospital in ANC)

Cooking and staring into each others' eyes. Very cute, short episodes, lots of chemistry and nice music!

A young Korean man named Young Ho arrives in Japan to study. He wants to become a journalist, but now works as a paparazzi at a magazine publisher.
