i will recomend the ANIME or the manga of that this movie was based of. its about shogi, japanese chess, and the protagonist is a 17 years-old guy who is trying to understand himself and his passion of shogi.

its about friendship, love and is sooo poetic (the anime and manga). the movie itself is an OK live action, but i hardly prefer the anime and manga ;)

They are similar in terms of energy. It is very lighthearted and will make you laugh. It is also very pure. Both dramas reside in a campas setting.

If in My Roommate is Dectective the relationship between the 2 male leads is at the friendship or bromance level, in Killer and Healer the relationship between Yue Lou and Yu Zhi is more deep and profound and these two can be considered as a real couple. Wether is platonic or romantic there is no doubt that these 2 male leads really love each other.

Like in Word of Honor this is another Chinese drama where there is no doubt about the relationship and the feelings the male leads have for each other.

As for Zi Shu and Ke Xing story, I completely fall in love with the beautiful love story between Jian Yue Lou and Chen Yu Zhi. Their relationship is lovely, healthy, well-balanced, mature and a delight to watch. Highly recommended!

They will help each other to get rid of the mafia and the opium in Jinging City and will become soulmates in the process.
I completely fall in love with this drama and with the beautiful love story between Jian Yue Lou and Chen Yu Zhi. Like our Guardian couple, Yue Lou and Yu Zhi relationship in Killer and Healer is realistic, lovely, healthy, well-balanced and mature.
If you like the Guardian you will definitely love this one!

- FL fights for what is right and her own principal over their own safety and feelings
-ML in love pretty quickly
- ML great fighters
-solid acting and supports
- while overall plots are not similar both have the same compelling feel with some epic kingdom vs kingdom battles and Intelligent plotting
- Both are soooo good and my top two cdramas for the plot and the female leads(pending second half of long ballad)

Obviously the stories are different but here are the things that I love about both dramas:

- Healthy relationship between the leads
- Strong, smart and most of all non-cringy FL
- ML is not domineering nor a jerk
- No useless drama, misunderstanding or break-up
- Annoying characters are short-lived or do not really annoy you to the core.

Ok sorry this recommendation is not act for this one but for the BBC Sherlock with Benedict cumberbatch. But Ofc there’s no page on my drama list as it is a British show but it’s really similar to this and I rlly recommend. U can watch on Netflix or rlly any other website where u watch movies (illegally )
Similarities:
- there’s the anti social genius
- all the deduction that solves crimes
- the fact that they’re not officially police but police relies on them
- a team of 2 except this one the girl gets it more than Watson does + the romance
- the style of the ‘arranged’ cases not rlly but like the ‘fight’ between main guy and big bad that is also genius. (Just the whole way the plot works with them solving cases but it’s low key or has treated by some other genius)

Both have alien species on earth, and trying to live like humans. Similar modern setting with flashbacks to past era times.
