In a small Café, Min-hee Kim plays a guest who prefers to observe but not interact with the other guests herself.

Sung-Joon then suggests they runaway to somewhere else.

Kwon returns to Seoul from the mountains and is given a packet of letters from Mori back from Japan to propose to her. Kwon drops and scatters the undated letters. She reads them and has to make sense of the chronology - and so must we?

A married film director falls for a young painter - twice.

Both are Korean language BLs where one of the male leads is questionable in terms of his true feelings for the other male lead. There are mind games and turbulent lovers with both films.

-Both MLs sort of want to avenge their dads, and they are both very successful in what they do.
-Intergenerational feud between a 'youngster' and a hateful, rich-old man.
-Revenge plot runs for years.
-Both MLs eventually team-up and find strength in their better halves.
-Both stories are modern-day versions of court-politics, where the wronged protagonist takes down the powerful bad guy, although IC plays into business-level politics with far greater number of players involved.
-The revenge is fulfilled at the very end, with the comeuppance being extremely satisfactory.

Another warfare drama set during the sino Japanese era.
Similar spy theme as well and plenty of action.

If you love this movie, Prison Playbook would be an upgrade it version of this. I'm really surprised that this is not one of the recommendations yet.

The similarity has to start with the prison theme, even their costumes are almost identical.

In the Prison Playbook is not as politically heavy (solely focused) but still shows the hierarchy in the prison.

Also has a relationship with an older prison uncle trying to kind guide the male lead to the lights.

I really think anyone loves this movie would love this drama too!!

I got very similar vibes from both stories

ML is a CEO and FL is not as well off ( in this drama she is a student in the other she is his assistant)

both stories ML chases FL first

well dominated love has a more complicated plot i would say but both share the aspects of having incredibly sweet moments btw the couples

Set at the same time, in the same era of Republican China, and have a similar theme of bloodshed. Gives revolutionary vibes for both. Both have the spy aspect to them.
