I think Moonlight took heavy inspiration from Romance is a Bonus Book - a lot of the side plot threads are similar as well.

While the plots are very different, the chemistry and dynamic between the leads are very similar. So if you like the flirtatious, teasing, but fond dynamic of Bad Buddy, you'll probably like the how the relationship in 1000 Stars develops.

The main character in 404 has a love letter poster on his walls. But theres also a few similarities. Theres a past and present time line, the past shows the characters being in school and centers around an unrequited and unfullfilled romance and the present shows the character being confronted with the past.

Both are Republican era dramas with a military backdrop and a suspenseful plot to accompany the romance. Both dramas have main leads that initially come off as being a bit of a playboy/scoundrel before becoming protective of FL, and a more serious (but also ridiculously handsome) second male lead. Both dramas have a strong female cast and supportive cast, including at least one more villainous female character. “Fall in Love” takes place in Shanghai and more directly addresses Western (British) influence while “Arsenal Military Academy” is set elsewhere and focuses more on the conflict with Japan.

Both have a bittersweet romance between master and disciple.

Both MLs also made a vow to stay unmarried for life but their resolve got shaken when they meet the FL.
