Both series revolve around family, with children playing a central role in the story. They explore psychological questions, as well as how to become a family even without blood ties. Love, however, doesn't feature prominently in the narrative.

Both Japanese boys' love dramas with eccentric, shonen manga-esque leads who have crushes on their teachers. Having similar story premises and comedic tones, you may enjoy one if enjoyed the other.

Nang Nak is the clearest telling of the Mae Nak legend available. It really will help with understanding Nak Rak Mak Maak Maak if you've seen it first.

If you've seen Nang Nak or the other adaptations, Nak Loves Mak is a sweet riff on the legend.
