TLKS is similar to the level of comedy it brings. Their brand of humor is different but they are both funny. Look out for the expressiveness of Park Jihoon’s face.
Similar concept but it's more sad in the beginning but with the more emotional intensity, complicated royal relationships, political tension, heartbreak and unforgettable chemistry, then Scarlet Heart: Ryeo is a must watch. It slowly turns into one of the most emotionally devastating historical dramas ever. The relationships between the princes, the betrayals, the longing, the sacrifices and the tragic romance hit really hard. Lee Joon Gi absolutely steals the show as Wang So, and the OST makes every scene feel even more painful in the best way possible. Just prepare yourself emotionally because this drama does not play with your feelings at all.
Though Flowers of War quite a lot heavier to watch than Battle of Changsha. They both take place during the Japanese invading China, with similar themes of war, love, sacrifice, sadness, and hope.
Time travel drama.
FL from Joseon-era has to deal with modern-day Korea in MRN while in BAYM the FL from modern-day Korea ends up in Joseon-era .

This is also a drama on a very heavy side but shows the reality and how life can change from all sugar to bitterness!!!!
Female leads in both are struggling to move on from an abusive relationship.
Both feature great LGBT storylines in the form of trans and drag characters.

- Neither series treats the characters as perfect

- My Beautiful Man is a Japanese Bl
- Thundercloud Rainstorm has a softer visual mood and slightly more cinematic
- My Beautiful Man leans more psychologically intense and awkward
- In Thundercloud Rainstorm, the characters feel more grounded and approachable

Top form and Thamepo both have similar topics throughout both shows about mistreatment, how dating can affect a celebritys career and overall both of the series send important messages to us, fans. Personally i really liked both shows and found them very similar.
In both, the tops are very obsessive to the other ml and do almost about everything to get with them.
Our Dining Table is a masterpiece about being someone's support and someone's cheerleader as they go through grief and heartbreak and fear. Plot-wise it's very different from Love of Silom, but I am an avid lover of single-dad-figures in BL... so if you like this trope too watch both these series!
Both feature ML's who are informants for their cop love interests... Other than that they're very different, but I get the same couple dynamic (personality-wise) as well. So if the cop-stuff is what you like, you'll enjoy this maybe.
Both feature club/host culture and how they can be interwoven with gang and illegal trade. So if that's what you like about Love of Silom you'll find similar plot points in 3 Will Be Free. 3WBF is more on the crime side and less police-heavy; deep night also a bit focuses more on the tragic lives people who resort to sex work face, but not that deeply. 3WBF has BL-elements but its a poly relationship with 2 boys and 1 girlie.
Both feature club/host culture and how competitive and even dangerous they can get. So if that's what you like about Love of Silom you'll find similar production value in Deep Night's performances. Deep Night is more acrobatic and less dance-heavy; deep night also re-uses performances, but at least they're not super cringe!
The reason these two dramas feel so similar is because they’re built around the same kind of chemistry: smart women, smart men, and their "intellectual match" romance.
1. Both dramas feature female leads who are exceptionally intelligent, practical, and arguably "cunning" by the standards of their time.
Glory: FL is the cool, calculating head of her matriarchal family. She doesn't wait for things to happen; she anticipates her opponents' moves.
The Autumn Ballad: FL uses her sharp mind to navigate a family that marginalises her. She is famously unapologetic about using tactics and manipulation to secure her own survival and happiness.
2. The Intellectual Match
In both shows, the romance isn't based on a "damsel in distress" trope. Instead, the leads are intellectual equals who were initially distrustful of each other.
Glory: ML and FL share a mutual understanding. He is an intelligent official who respects her authority.
The Autumn Ballad: ML and FL constantly try to outsmart each other. Their relationship is built on mutual recognition of each other’s brilliance and ruthlessness.
3. Investigation and Mystery Elements
Another huge similarity is the mystery/investigation angle.
The Autumn Ballad leans heavily into the "detective" genre as the leads solve various cases that eventually lead back to a larger conspiracy involving the Qiu family.
Glory follows a similar path, starting with a murder case that brings the ML into the world of the FL
4. Family Power Struggles
The family drama is absolute chaos in both.
In Glory, FL has to contend with backstabbers and the pressures of her position.
In The Autumn Ballad, Qiu Yan is constantly fighting against the rigid, often cruel expectations of her family.
