Main lead is a highschool student that is involved in an accident that (almost) kills them. Though, they return to real life due to some unresolved conflicts.
Romance, fantasy but first and foremost tragedy. Sad stories about grief, loss, sad endings to an extent.

- Both are idol surival show programmes with trainees fighting for a spot in an idol group
- most strinkingly, though, these shows are especially known for the strong, affectionate bond between its Top2 contestants.
- some of the trainees have since acted in BL dramas too (or acted in BL dramas prior to entering the contest)

They are somewhat different from eachother because Love Class is a fictional boys love drama and lazicon a reality idol surival show programme but there are some similarities too. Love Class, for example, focuses on characters who have participated in a surival show programme themselves and some of the actors also have idol/trainee experience. Additionally, Laz icon is kind of famous for the intense bond between two of its contestants (Daouoffroad) so watching their dynamic might satisfy some BL viewers.

A comedy-then-romance series about opposite-sex flatmates.

I'll add some more later since "Love has Fireworks" has just started. Nevertheless, "Hotaru no Hikari" is an excellent and focused adaptation (of the manga) and drama on its own.

Noted that characters and characterisation are different though. Just the similar setting of cohabitation, work/career, everyday struggles and the slice-of-life genre.

Both are korean boys love dramas with a somewhat longer overall run time. They feature two couples whose dynamics i dont think are too different. In both theres a couple with some unresolved, repressed feelings. They broke off a romantic connection that in particular one of them is still very hung up on and is persistently showing affection. The other do not have much prior history and one of them has more of a cute charm.

Both of these stories are focused on the shocking death of a female student and how the class try to unravel what happened to her, realising they all play different parts into her death.

Suicide Notes Laid on the Table is a film which focuses more on the students trying to figure out her story themselves, as they read through her suicide notes, piecing the puzzle together.

Whereas, Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom is a series which focuses more on the teacher trying to guide the students into figuring it out, through his rather chaotic methods.

Overall the only main difference is that Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom does highlight some of the other student's backgrounds and stories, whilst we mainly focus on the female student in Suicide Notes Laid on the Table, probably because it's a film and has less time to develop further.

Both are Korean dramas with authentic and unromanticized portrayals of life as a gay man in South Korea, including similar themes as reflections on sex, love (and heartbreak), and friendship. LitBC is a series while One Night is a short film.
