Same director. Same sense of humour. Some of the same cast (not the leads though). At least part of the decor and styling is the same (the historical setting).
Both dramas involve soul/body swapping and adjusting to new circumstances for one of the lead characters.

Both dramas involve a dragon who couldn't ascend so they became Imoogi. Other supernatural creatures of the Korean folklore also appear and have a part to play in the story.
Both dramas also involve a love story that dates way back (ML is an immortal/very much older than the FL in both cases).

Same premise. Ngl the chinese version definitely feels a bit more scripted but we all know terrace house was scripted as well atp
Not exactly the same plot, but its like slow romance and healing drama like OBS. The story line is best friends turned into lovers, but the guy falls first and then the girls starts liking him. Its available on YT.
both shows have themes of folklore & possession within a historical setting.
in TDHR, Ban Xia, the female lead, is seen by others as mentally unstable because she can see demons, just like Yeo Ri, who rejected her fate as a shaman despite being spiritually gifted bc of the backlash by her townsfolk. The male lead, Xuan Ye, is a demon hunter assigned to maintain order in Guangping City, which, like the haunted palace in THP, is plagued by malevolent spirits. But Xuan Ye, much like Yun Gap, is secretly connected to the dark forces he’s supposed to fight (he’s suspected of being a demon himself) which mirrors Yun Gap’s possession by the Imoogi.
Their partnership in solving supernatural cases is similar to the the alliance between Yun Gap, Yeo Ri, and King Yi Seong as they unravel the palace’s tragic past tied to vengeful spirits.
