Both shows focus on adjusting to living in a different country. In My Name is Gabriel, the participants live someone else’s life in all respects. In Busan Boys, the participants live together and are trained to take on different jobs while also having some fun as if on a working holiday.

It's not too similar but i kind of get the psycho vibe of both jin and jaemin being like "im the only one that can have him and stuff" but i think from how far i am in secret love its more toned down than secret relationships but they are both amazing BL's in my opinion (edit: it gets past the possessive bit fast but they are both still a bit similar)

If you like this type of show, then you will definitely like Iron Family too. The settings and the overall storyline is very similar between these two dramas

Although AD is more of an investigation style and Agatha Christie vibe but there are some similarities. (But Ancient Detective is better on those in my opinion.)

•The male lead who can't fight but uses his intelligence.
•The relatively more cheerful 2nd male lead who fights alongside ML and protects him (And they become friends right away).
•The female lead who knows how to fight and protects the male lead.
•The love between the 2nd male lead and the 2nd female lead is similar to the love between Lei Wu Jie and Ruo Yin.

- Royal MC that's low-ranking and unfavored (emperor FL in DaD, prince ML in DLX)
- Other MC is a palace servant (eunuch in DaD, head maid in DLX)
- MC's mentor and love interest is jaded and cruel but deep down kinder than they appear (ML in DaD, FL is DLX)
- Master x Servant dynamic
- Smart and strong power couple
- "Us against the world"
- Intense and kinda melancholic chemistry
- Revenge
- Palace setting & politics
- Intense and thrilling
- Very beautiful and well-crafted miniseries

DLX is kinda like if DaD had the roles reversed, the royal lead actually *wanted* to rule, and they were in it together since the get-go.

- Emperor MC (FL in DaD, ML in SoTK)
- Secret related to the emperor (twin replacement in SoTK, gender secret in DaD)
- Kind and compassionate emperor (FL in DaD, ML in SoTK)
- Emperor's mentor and love interest is jaded and cruel but deep down kinder than they appear (ML in DaD, FL is SoTK)
- Smart and strong power couple
- "Us against the world"
- Emperor is a puppet ruler with little to no actual power
- Troubling times for the empire (one at the start of a new dynasty, the other at the end of a dynasty)
- Palace setting & politics
- Intense and thrilling
- Beautifully shot with lovely music

Main differences are obviously the fact that DaD's emperor is a woman cross-dressing as a man who takes up the throne while in SoTK ML is the emperor's twin who takes his place. In SoTK, the leads are emperor and empress while in DaD, the leads are emperor/ess and eunuch.

Aside from the obvious historical setting, there are some other similarities as well:

- the FL is reborn and sets out to change the past
- the ML is seen as evil/vicious and rebellious, but is actually loyal
- the background of the story is court politics and plots

There are some similarities between the two dramas, especially the rebirth plot where both the leads have been reborn. Although in Blossom, the ML is unaware for the most part as he doesn't seem to remember the past life clearly.

Both titles are asadoras that focus on a married couple, instead of just the heroine. The heroines’ husbands in both series are well known real people and are portrayed as kinda strange. Most importantly, both have Matsushita Nao and Matsuzaka Keiko in them.

If you like Heavenly Ever After, you should also check out Tomorrow.
Like Heavenly Ever After, Tomorrow explores deep life themes through emotional and meaningful short stories. Each episode touches on different people’s lives—dealing with pain, regrets, love, and hope. Even though it’s a fantasy drama with grim reapers, it has the same heartwarming and healing vibe. Both dramas remind us how precious life is and how every person has a story worth telling.
