both are family centered movies by the great Koreeda with a similar feel and atmosphere, realistic and human characters and a more 'slow' and calm pace. Our main protagonists (both having the same name) and the grandmas are played by Abe Hiroshi and Kiki Kirin respectively. Both movies also have similar family constellations (sister with two children, son with one son...). If you enjoyed one youll probably enjoy the other.

If you miss a fantastic interaction between Off and Gun, than you may love this series. It's not a BL but OffGuns are so OffGuns there

Good time is a more happy and less dramatic version of Game of Hunting, we have multiple couples, long period romance, business content, strong and loyal friendship versus betrayal and disaffection ones in a daily life struggle. Lovers to friends, friends to lovers. Hu Ge is a boss in both of them.

Both stories are located in traditional Japanese sweet stores with a long history. Although both have different genres as "Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru" is a murder mystery and "Fukuyado Honpo" is a romantic comedy, they both focus strongly on the traditions involved with Japanese arts and the duty of the younger generations to inherit the long standing businesses and continue the family legacy. Posing as a School student, is really a murderer. I found both movies to have similar feels and were overall good watches.

Both of the dramas are set in the republican era with a hint of mild romance. Both drama focuses on crime-solving and how the leads build up trust and reliance with one another.

Two men who will do anything to protect each other even if they are on opposing sides. The bromance is strong in these two dramas.
