Both are set in eras where samurai have lost their positions and deemed worthless. The samurai were left to literally forage for scraps because of lack of work and some had to resort to drastic measures just to survive.
Revenge as the main course
Both shows are powered by one core energy: “I suffered. Now everyone else will too.”
The leads in both dramas rebuild their entire lives around getting justice for past trauma. No side quests. No distractions. Pure revenge cardio.

Both have a female lead who is NOT soft, not innocent — but calculated and brilliant. If Queen Mantis gave you that “I support women’s wrongs” energy… The Resurrected does the SAME.
There is more than 1 love interest (1 of them being his best friend) in both of them
The best friend is jealous whenever the mc interacts with any of the love interests
The best friend is jealous whenever the mc interacts with any of the love interests
without giving too much spoilers, both are tragic love stories that both of them are willing to sacrifice themselves to save the other and be together, one is a historical bl and one has some elements of it, both are supernatural. I highly recommend checking kill to love if you liked the main leads dynamic.
Both involve a semi-dystopian setting and desperate people being forced to fight to survive or be killed on an island.
Both involve a group of people being forced to play games to the death.

Both dramas share same writers, feature abusive parents, tragic love, and sadness; one has time travel, the other thriller .
They have the same basis of time travel, but it's still a little different.
I'll let you see what's different. ?

Both of them are mini dramas with 9 minutes episode format for 23-24 episodes. They're fast paced with element of thriller, tech and societal commentary. They're both aired in 2025 with similar quality. They both are in a plausible sci-fi setting which focuses more on internal feelings such as grief with the technology being a background element.
In Higher, Jiang Zhen and Bai Fan are searching for the cause of Jiang Zhen's sister's death even though three years have passed. There's a strong bromance (that's kinda borders on bl), themes of grief, disillusionment, corrupt tech and showing up in one's life after it being entirely wrecked by grief. In Dangerous Relationship, Liang Simu and Yue Ling are investigating Liang Simu's sister's death even though 5 years have passed. Both Liang Simu and Yue Ling's lives were never the same after Liang Siyuan's death and Liang Simu is determined to find the truth through a tech project which would help him find the truth. There's some bromance and portrayal of corrupt tech (though corrupt tech theme is stronger in Higher)
While Higher is more character driven and has a lot of elements of angst and is almost sprawling many elements such as comedy, plot twists, interpersonal relationships, trauma inside it, Dangerous Relationship feels more coherent and linear because it takes itself seriously and never loses sight of what it's trying to communicate. But both of them are pretty much angsty with many overlapping themes and elements. Lastly, in Higher, Jiang Zhen and Bai Fan in threat of being stuck in a virtual realm and in Dangerous Relationship the primitive code is also a type of "virtual" realm which can hurt the leads.
C/W for Dangerous Relationship:
It discusses heavy themes of abusive toxic relationships and things such as harassment, manipulation and blackmailing. If any are triggering for you, please watch with caution.
TL;DR: IF YOU LIKED HIGHER YOU'LL 100% LIKE DANGEROUS RELATIONSHIP + VICE VERSA.

Here’s a short comparison between the two Chinese dramas The Legend of Shen Li (2024) and Immortal Samsara (2022), focusing on similarities.

- Female lead gets revenge from their own family.
- Male chases female first begins with an accidental encounter
* Though ending is different

Both about what if Korea had a modern day monarchy. In both the second prince of the monarchy couples up with a commoner.
Both are Japanese movies focused on romance with a disabled ML. Both movies are well-made with an intimate, raw feel and a tender and wholesome romance. If you wanted Blind Mind to be longer, I strongly recommend giving See Hear Love a try!
In SHL:MmKmA, FL is disabled too, while in BM, she's not.

- Modern man ends up in historical period
- Both MLs are very similar (cheeky, fun-loving, loyal, and compassionate)
- ML is regarded as a genius due to his modern knowledge
- Everyone out to get ML (positively and negatively)
- Princess FL
- Sweet family dynamics
- ML's special ability is composing (erm, plagiarizing poems)
- Intimidating organization with atypical knowledge for the time period
- Fantasy elements (more wuxia in JoL, actual fantasy in GotD)
- Both are hilarious comedies with genuinely witty humor
GotD is basically JoL a little to the left (aka, a little more fantasy-focused). ML's entire personality, the family dynamic, supporting characters, plot progression, dynamics, and even ML's skillset. It's actually quite surprising, but I loved both, lol.
