The stories that each drama is based on are from the same author. Similar level of depth, but LBFAD has a more complex main villain.
Both dramas are about two wounded young people - a somewhat withdrawn FL with an abusive father or stepfather and a "bad boy" ML who bond at school and end up saving each other. Both FLs are good students. At some point the FL ends up moving in with the ML to protect herself.
Both are about a suicidal, hopeless FL and rougher ML who bond at school, with the ML changing the FL's life.
If you enjoyed the K-drama As You Stand By, you might also appreciate the J-drama Naomi and Kanako. Both are adapted from the same novel, Naomi and Kanako, written by the acclaimed Japanese author Hideo Okuda.
both are fluffy, healthy relationships and the Lead characters are nice.
Both shows are low on couple conflict.
both ML's are Rich.

both ML's are Rich.
Both main couples have a similar attack-defend dynamic, and there's quite a bit of aggression bordering on dubcon.
There is only 4 ep out on Netflix as I am writing this, but it is reminding me a lot of Nobunaga no Chef with the well known historical figure being fed food that is new and exciting by French Chefs.
Both chefs use their culinary skills and historic knowledge to make a meaningful meal and most importantly, keep themselves alive. I especially enjoy how the King and Nobunaga react to the meal with respect and genuine awe. I like how they are both smart but when they learn new words and cooking methods the chefs has used, they are eager to learn and understand. I imagine if they weren't foodies, the chefs would not have lasted at all.
Do they both change history? You'll have to watch for yourself.
We'll see how the endings differ but I if you enjoy food and history, you may enjoy Nobunaga no Chef.

Both are memorial. These are different stories, but they are about the same thing: that war is infinitely cruel.
