It's the same idea but they flipped the countries, it's also very funny to see the difference between korean and japanese way of acting and directing the series

Will love in spring to me is a Chinese version of small town romance that Hometown cha cha cha presents very well. The characters both come back from the big city and the romance starts, pretty basic but compared to many of this type series main leads connection seems indisputable

When it comes to the overall atmosphere it's not similar at all however the relationship between the 'main couple' if you can even call them that is pretty similar in terms of age gap (which is finally different from the typical older man younger woman trope that is everywhere)

Main character is isolated and alone due to creepy circumstances around them. But in Spellbound she is an adult and still contacts friends and family via the phone.
Same mix of horror, romance and comedy.

The Heroine is from the contemporary era but gets transported back in time into a story where she think she knows how it will all play out and does what she can to change things. If she doesn't, she's afraid she will die. The Main Lead is also the "villainous" character.

When Joon Soo falls in love he tries to give everything to the girl. Even though he does all of that, he is the one that gets dumped. Hyun Woo works as a weathercaster. Unlike her beautiful appearance, she acts excessively and talks in a tough manner. A romance blooms between these two people.
