Both are mini dramas in which one of the leads has two very different personalities.

The male lead (police) in Life on Mars also gets transported back to the past (1988) to solve a serial murder case.
Emotional dramas. In both female lead travels to the past and try to prevent a tragedy from happening. In SOOD it is the death of a friend if I remember correctly, in TTEOTM it is the elimination of the realms by the hands of the devil god which she will be romantically involved with.
In both acting is amazing as well as OST , plot and chemistry.

Nao, a high school girl living a self-proclaimed "normal" life, is one day approached by her mysterious classmate Kiri in the school library. Kiri invites Nao to come with her to visit a scene of a murder in Kiri's neighborhood which she's using as inspiration to write a novel.

Kotone works at a coffee shop run by her father after failing the entrance exam for music college. She works with her childhood friend Kazushi and the atmosphere is pleasant. Her younger sister Kanon is worried about Kotone, but spends her days devoted to her band.
A mysterious girl stands on her balcony in the rain. What is beyond the gate that looks at?
These four stories will intersect, as the boundaries between each girl gradually become borderless.

both have a main character going back in time to fix why someone keeps dying and they're in a time loop
Shrewd, manipulative, and self-aware ML. A complicated storyline with shifting loyalties and criss-crossing relationships between different roles. FL is significantly more BAMF. A must watch for viewers who enjoy clever and complicated storylines that reward intelligent viewers without unnecessary drama mucking up the drama's pacing.

- Both leads have careers in different industries and met by chance, but are able to empathise with each other and give each other the spark to move forward

Random Fun Fact:
Jing Jing, an actress and Song San Chuan, a professional athlete have more similarities in their work nature than we think in principle. This is highlighted in a conversation between Alex and Liang You An in Nothing But You. One of the main job as a manager of professional athletes is to create a star. When see from this lens, there is a certain level of persona and public image to create for professional athlete and actor/ actress. SSC’s portfolio of work is his competition and results while JJ’s portfolio is her show and fans receptivity.
