Both are Republican Era dramas in which the couple meets when the FL saves the ML who is wounded and fleeing. Both MLs are domineering, violent, and somewhat unstable, and their possessive love for the FL causes her to fake her death to flee their marriage.
the kind of thriller drama (with murder plot) that makes us support and cheer for a mentally-unstable, psychopathic protagonist lol (+ both are female)

FL in this drama never considered love until she meets ML.
In L&P, FL only ever loved ML.
The couple are also from different background.
Due to a circumstance, they had a break up.
They also meet again due to business and be together again.

Both films primarily explore what life after death could look like. They reflect upon what people (souls) valued most in their time while living, and how that connects to how they will exist beyond their original lives.
they are both about going up against politically powerful individuals using the law, they are both about justice and how the law should be wielded and implemented right. they are both about good people who care about justice and protagonists who care about implementing the law (in the right way). you end up loving the characters in both of them, and their relationships. the relationship between the two main characters is what's more prominent in stranger, while the group bond (and student-teacher relationships) as a whole is what's prominent in law school. both of them have amazing mystery/crime writing. genuinely two of the best whodunits ever, at least in tv show format, they both are up there with the bests. they keep you engaged all the way through. both are very well thought out and meticulously weaved to craft a picture that is whole and logical. (of course, both are very original as well.)
so if you liked the mystery/whodunnit aspect and want more well thought out detective stories, i recommend stranger. if you liked how they used law in law school, i recommend stranger. if you also want more characters to like, i recommend stranger.

Same concept: a virus that change people's behaviour to the point to start killing other human beings.
Both are costume dramas about female led revenge. Intricate plots, cunning women, elusive and cold but supportive male leads, and both plots have involvement from royalty to some degree.
Neither drama focuses on romance and instead is excellent at weaving the story through each plot.

if you liked hometown chachacha you'll definitely like welcome to samdal-ri.
- same village vibe
- healing romance drama
Les FL viennent toutes deux de Seoul et sont amenées à venir à la campagne dans une petite ville côtière.
