Both are visually stunning historicals with similar tone and style of BGM, with specific focus on the FL's arc and development. Both dramas feel domestic and are focused on the FL and her relationship in her (extended) family structure as well as her ability to overcome issues within. Also both MLs are supportive of her. Both leads are extremely competent.

Min Yeong works as a dating agent, and while her field of work requires her to offer her clients the perfect match by levels, she romantically believes that love shouldn't have restrictions. She risks getting into trouble as she plans a date between a low-level class client and a higher rank woman. All seems to go according to plan until we find out that Byun Hoon, the leader of another agency, is trying to do the same with his own client.

The M&A specialist, Robin Haydon, moves to Korea to overtake the Komatu company in Japan. On the morning of the first day of Robin's attendance, he has an encounter with Min Joon by a fender bender. Meanwhile, people in the company are excited about the newly appointed president, 'Robin'. Min Joon finds out that Robin is her new boss, who is the same person from the morning accident she was involved in and feels uneasy.

As she is appointed to be Robin's assistant, Min Joon and Robin develop a means for more personal as well as professional interactions. Robin gives Min Joon many difficult and on-the-spot tasks, but Min Joon proves to be very capable and tackles these tasks intelligently, and Robin becomes drawn to her, finding this characteristic of Min Joon to be very attractive. Robin, with his characteristically callous nature, tries to fix the weakness and indecisiveness of Min Joon on love and advises her that love and dating are a technical game.

not too similar plot wise but has kind of the same vibes through out the story

Tempting Heart is another version of the same storyline. I've said in previous reviews but will say again that it feels like there are now too many versions, but i'll love them all regardless. The Luo Yanjing x Li Zhi story is one of my top 3 for short cdrama vertical series romance. There's just something about the characters that makes it easy to fall in love with them. Tempting Heart is my favorite version.

I'm just adding the recommendation since they're both the same story. I've seen waaaaay too many of these but i'm so obsessed with the story. If you're a big sucker for romance like i am, this one is definitely for you. IMO, Wang Xin and Lei Xiaomi had the best version. I mean, those two actually look like they could be in love.

Mother and Mom is literally the 'kid' version of SKY castle.
in both of those dramas the mothers are obsessed with their children's grades, and both of them show how it can be bad for their mental health
In sky castle, it's mostly about students studying for the college entrance exam
In Mother and Mom it's about kids (6-7 years old I think) studying to get in elementary school (i am a bit confused about the korean school system but they kept talking about getting in elementary school so I guess that's correct)
In sky castle, it has a more thriller vibe and it's way darker than in Mother and Mom.
In Mother and Mom there is romance and it's lighter.
Overall, if you liked the studying and academic pressure vibe of sky castle you'll like Mother and Mom although it could feel a little too lighter compared to Sky castle's vibe.
ANYWAYS MOTHER AND MOM IS SO GOOD AND UNDERRATED SO CMON JUST WATCH IT I PROMISE IT'LL BE INTERESTING

Both are romcoms and deal with friendships and love in their own unique way
