Also a lovely BL story without physical lawdness and/or psycho games that many BL dramas will have,
and also has women as positive (and negative lol) part of daily life of anyone in BL - unlike so many BL dramas that make you feel like there are no other kinds of people in the entire world

If you liked Summer Strike, you’ll probably like 18×2: Beyond Youthful Days too, not because they’re that similar, but because they share a similar vibe. Both are slower-paced and focus more on emotions and atmosphere rather than big plot twists. Summer Strike is more calm and healing, while 18×2 is more emotional and can hit pretty hard. If you enjoyed the reflective, quiet tone of Summer Strike, this is a good follow-up, just expect something a bit heavier.

Vigilante Justice: Heroes who bypass a broken legal system to punish villains manually.

Elite Combat: Grounded, high-intensity choreography (Boxing in Bloodhounds; MMA/Judo in Vigilante).

The "Small vs. Big" Trope: Disciplined young men taking on massive, corrupt organizations.

Dark Tone: A focus on urban noir, heavy stakes, and bone-crunching realism.

Bloodhounds is a high-speed buddy-cop action piece; Vigilante is a dark psychological thriller.

Based on tags and early promotional material, both dramas share themes of royalty, historical setting, and forbidden BL romance. This is an anticipated similarity prior to release.

Gorgeous cinematography that enhances their bittersweet storylines. These both stray away from the typical fluffy high school romcoms and instead give more suffocating, emotional, and traumatic takes on youth. Whiplash between warmth and cold.
