The movies are very similar, Yayoi movie have more time skip, but the 2 movies have time skip about a love story, in Yayoi is more dramatic. in Hanamizuki is more normal. Very recommended the 2 movies,

While very different in tone, both dramas center around a male lead who believes himself unable to keep people close to him. Both dramas also deal with sensitive and triggery topics (to different degrees) from the main male lead's past that get resolved during the course of the story. Both dramas are workplace romances, with one male lead's influential mom putting on a cold and disapproving front towards the love interest, but ultimately coming around very easily at seeing the change in her son.
