I have both similar reactions to both shows. It is well-acted drama without a lot of plot. Both take place in the university setting. Both are directed by P'New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul and written by Inthira Thanasarnsurit
Both projects have Kim Woo Bin as the lead and both have action.
Both projects were the comeback for Kim Woo Bin after a long hiatus. OBB is his movie comeback and Black Knight was his drama comeback.

They have an eccentric female lead and cold-at-first male lead. They have a similar tone. Comedic and quirky, but there is heart to it. There are also an eccentric group of supporting casts that will keep you entertained.
They are both based on famous manga.

If you’re a fan of GAP or FreenBecky, I seriously recommend you to watch The Loyal Pin as well. Trust me, you’ll absolutely love it, 100%! The spike improvement in every aspect—acting, visuals, sound, production quality, attention to detail, and storyline—is just DAMNNN!!!
The Loyal Pin takes storytelling to a whole new level, weaving a dreamy fairy tale while sensitively addressing the timeless challenges of same-sex love. Every element of this show feels meticulously crafted—you’ll regret it if you miss out!
And the best part? It’s completely FREE to watch on YouTube at IDOLFACTORY OFFICIAL. So, don’t hesitate—dive into the magic now! ?

Even though it’s a different type of humor, both series are truly hilarious. For both shows, I needed some time to get used to the strange sound effects in the first episode. But gradually, I began to appreciate the humor. Both shows are a breath of fresh air if, like me, you’re a bit tired of all the dramatic BL series that keep recycling the same clichés. If you’re looking for a similarity, though: in both series, the characters sort of live in the same house, and there’s an interesting, and especially funny, power dynamic between the main characters.
(mostly in the 1st arc of HDJtT)
- FL is an important historical figure (empress in NWBX,YZQEC and a general in MFG)
- FL time travels to the future
- ML is a wealthy heir who supports FL through everything
- Fish out of water situation
- ML takes care of FL

FL is a person of importance in a historical time (empress in HDJtT and general in MFG) who travels to modern times and has to adapt to living as a contemporary woman. She ends up being accidentally found by the very rich ML and they make an arrangement to live together. Both FLs are atypical, strong and rough in a fish-out-of-water situation
Both take place in all-boy christian school; coming out in a heavily religious atmosphere; questioning your faith in face of homophobia; complicated relationship with a religious mentor figure; one of the leads is a rebel. Also just the vibes are very similar - melancholic, bittersweet, very raw coming-of-age story.
- Unique brothers relationship
- Wrongfully accused (ML)
- Serial Killings
- Kind and supportive FL (not a walkover)
- Ride or die dynamic between ML & FL
- Kidnapped children seeking revenge as adults
- Slowburn story (YdMAKnTn is slower)
- Hotheaded but sweet MLs
- Lots of whump and angst
The pacing is quite different and also the MCs position. In Blind ML is a detective while in YdMAKnTn he's a high school student kinda doing this on the side.

Both LGBTQ+ / BL Dramas that incorporate the sport of Boxing but also have a romance storyline/plot. Both are Thai productions.
Both productions are Thai LGBTQ+ Dramas that are centered around the sport of Boxing / Muay Thai and also have a romance storyline/plot and a past that comes into play for the present situations.
Even though To Sir, With Love (Khun Chai) is in the style of a traditional lakorn (in lieu of a modern BL series), both shows are set in the past with Memoire of Rati being set in the late 1910s, while Khun Chai is set in the 1940s. Though only the trailer has been released for Memoire of Rati, it is very clear there will be an attempt at an arranged marriage, struggles of the acceptance of homosexuality, and a deep wholesome love. These are qualities shared by both shows. Furthermore, they also share similar clothing with European influence is both, although Memoire of Rati is much more Thai in influence, while Khun Chai has heavy Chinese influence. Overall, if you are looking forward to watch this drama, I would highly recommend Khun Chai.
The dramas are set in very similar time periods in Thai history, with Memoire of Rati being set in the late 1910s in what seems to be somewhere in Central Thailand, while I Feel You Linger in the Air is set in the 1920s-30s in Northern Thailand. The aesthetics of both shows are very similar. Even though only the trailer has come out for Memoir of Rati, one can already tell the similarities of the two shows via the clothing, architectural style, European influence, and a more conservative form of love.
Mature but childish leads!! Competition, and from haate to love relationship!!
The genre and caracters are similar!

-Same SML, also plays a controlling boyfriend who makes life decisions for the FL without consulting her
-similar contemporary, office drama set in Beijing
-FL also starts as an ordinary worker and has to face nepotism allegations because of her relationship
- (real life) age gap romance
