Both are mini dramas with the FL coming from the real world into a drama and messing up the story while falling in love with one of the characters.
Broke male lead assumes the identity of a dear friend after the latter gets into a life-threatening accident. The friend's family is super rich and he basically gets involved with everyone and the inheritance battle begins.
Both are about an idol ML who loses his memory and ends up being found by the FL who works at a café and knows his identity but keeps it a secret from him. The two end up living together.
Both feature long time friends co-habituating and the ML helping the FL deal with her ex-boyfriend.

Although the plot is different. The main female leads are in both dramas. And both have a similar vibe when it comes to the leads romance and certain situations.
In both the drama the FL lies in her resume and gets an entry level job even though having prior work experience in higher role.
One is a drama, one is a movie.
Both are a bit strange depicts of grief and love.
MDDT however has comedy, I missed you does not.
Also both feature Chris Wu as a very eccentric, colorful, strange character but he has more depth in IMY.

both these dramas include a ML with a psychological conditions in SS the ML ends up sampling her ice cream – and discovers that it remarkably relieves his aphasia symptoms, albeit on a temporary basis. Just a spoonful of the homemade ice cream allows him to communicate totally unimpaired
whereas in SIMU the FL falls for the ML's deserts

A love so beautiful was also one of my favorite C-Dramas way back 2017, and it is also quite comparable to Lighter and Princess (Arguably the best C-drama of 2022 because it trends like a hot fire). ALSB was lighter than L&P, because L&P have a lot of scene that can make you cry. It also had the same ML who's a genius and a jerk but still have some differences. Meanwhile, for the FL, they were completely different tho. Next similar thing was the Timeskip (where leads broke up for many years and find their way again) because from L&P they have college days and a timeskip to office/working days, which is both good!! Don't worry that is not a major spoiler because that is basically the ep. 1 of L&P. Actually, when i first saw L&P i quickly thought of ALSB haha both are good but if i were to choose, i'll go for L&P because it was a very well produced modern C-Drama and the romance build-up was amazing!! The OST's, Visual and Chemistry of the leads are also top notch so if you love ALSB then don't miss L&P!!!!
