Although they are different genres and taken place at different time periods, they both have a lot of similarities. The main male lead is very stubborn and at times rude. The other 3 male characters that follows around the female lead loves her for different reasons (there is the childish cute boy, mature and cool guy, and guy friend personalities). The support characters for both have an amazing story of their own. Both very funny. A few love triangles.

Catman is a movie based in the modern day while Be My Cat is a historical drama. Both stories have a ML that switches between human and cat form. They both fall in love with the FL first.
