From the start, I found this movie had similiar concept with the upcoming drama (Link), because I already watched the trailer of this drama, where's the ML and FL connected emotionally. When the FL cry, the ML also cry simultaneously. In the conclusion the similarities of both drama and movie is both main leads have emotional connection. At first, I thought the movie was the adaption of the drama. But, I realized that the drama hasn't airing yet. Anyway, this concept is interesting..

It's almost the exact same story, despite a completely different tone (and time period) - being more accurate to the book, Love in the Rain is darker and more melodramatic than Romance in the Rain.

Both films are set in the remote steppes of China, feature ethnic minority actors and deal with conservation themes by depicting the struggles of wildlife and man in an ongoing fight for balance.

Wolf Totem is set in the Inner Mongolian grasslands during the Cultural Revolution, where a young student is sent to live among the nomadic herders and learns to appreciate the balance between man and nature. He forms a bond with a pack of wolves and ultimately learns the harsh reality of human impact on the environment.

Kekexili: Mountain Patrol takes place in the remote Tibetan Plateau, where a group of volunteers form a patrol to protect Tibetan antelopes from poachers. They face extreme weather conditions and risk their lives to prevent the illegal trade of antelope fur. The movie depicts the harshness of the plateau and the difficult choices that the patrol members must make to preserve the antelopes.

Both movies feature stunning landscapes and showcase the beauty and majesty of the animals that inhabit these regions. They also highlight the cultural traditions of the indigenous people who have lived in harmony with nature for centuries. Both movies ultimately deliver a powerful message about the importance of protecting these fragile ecosystems and preserving the delicate balance between man and nature.

Both are documentary based on criminals and victims that really happened in Korea. Also, the witness and the interviews are real and some moments are recreated using real people and animation

Both are about an ex-husband trying to win back his wife’s love. Ex-wife Stop is very short and to the point. It also has short episodes about 5 min each. I binged it in one night.

Both are BL Japan. Both movies are cute and with happy endings. Convey hope. Also, there are characters with similar stories. One is safer and unafraid to face prejudice. Another more shy and fragile, full of insecurities. They are romantic comedies that deal with gay relationships without stereotypes. They are light and funny movies at the same time.

In both dramas college girls sell themselves/fake a relationship etc.
"Ashita, Watashi wa Dareka no Kanojo" just started airing, so currently the SFL is revealed to do papakatsu (including more than companionship - as seems to be the norm, according to the other character's reactions in the drama and documentaries on youtube, contrary to what the "Papakatsu" synopsis implies), whether or if the FL does it too will be revealed in the upcoming episodes... so far the drama seems to show a more in-depth portrayal of the psychological effects and dynamics surrounding that business/lifestyle as you see it from many character's perspectives. While the FL in "Papakatsu" seemed more naive and romantically inclined and the story revolved around the two main characters, the FL in "Ashita, Watashi wa Dareka no Kanojo" is totally aware of the whole business situation, is on top of things, and has multiple clients.

The actress that plays the female lead is the same in both dramas. In Dear Herbal Lord, the female lead is the daughter of a doctor and the male lead is also a doctor. In this drama there's a kind of memory loss for both leads and also some kind of "double personality", as the body of the female lead becomes the home of two different souls.
