Both movies are teen heart feel romances about young people falling in love for the first time, learning about themselves and facing emotional growth. Even though one leans on the dramatic side and the other starts mor comedic, they both capture the awkward and emotional journey of youth.

These were both written by the same scriptwriter and involve societal commentary on a range of topics relevant to modern day Korea. Both MLs are judges who learn how to make true friends over the course of the series.

Both of these shows dig deep into the Korean idol industry corruption and the negatives of fame, while showing the human side of celebrities. They both also contain the core message that it's never too late to develop the relationships that you really want in your life and to follow the dreams you've long held.

The worlds feel similar, and both make you reflect on your own life / have a moral underlying story they are telling. Also they both unrelatedly revolve around sweets.

Well,, I thought the first recommendation that’ll exist here was this drama but… it’s not…

Let’s just say Cashero is the male version of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon… just that the concept of money works different here… the superpower things looks quite the same to me… especially the outfit… both tries to hide their identity… wearing a hoodie… interesting…

The male lead is very similar to Sang Yan in that he goes out of his way secretly to do things for the female lead to catch her attention or just to make things easier for her. He also doesn't push her in any way to fall in love with him and just waits and cares for her in his own way until she heals.

Basically the same plot, except the female lead is a badass firecracker and is talented in developing games in her own right. This drama is also a sort of enemies to lovers as well and it's adorable to see them fall in love.

If you want to see another age-gap romance (the age gap isn't emphasized as much though), and you want to see another green forest male lead doing everything for his girl even while just pursuing her, then make sure to watch Shine on Me.
