When it comes to supernatural, I feel like these two complement each other perfectly. Both have the perfect amount of romance, action, and so much more. The storylines are my favorites.

When I was watching Imawa no Kuni no Alice, I thought it reminded me a lot of Battle Royale. Although they are both different, they are similar in a lot of ways.

Both shows are really dark and have really interesting settings. It feels like they go hand in hand, honestly. Lol

Both really have a dark creepy vibe. If you finish one and wonder what other show is like it because you're in that kind of mood, I recommend these.

Both these series are supernatural tales that have a past meets present twist. Of course both are in the BL genre.

this gives me maxtul vibes with childhood besties involved. together with me is Childhood friends Korn and Knock reunite in college and This is series is a MUST WATCH for all BL lovers. It hits all the right spots and leaves you wanting more! I highly recommend it and I promise that you'll be hooked!

Enemies to lovers!! Shao Fei and Tang Yi, Jack and Zhao Li An and these two along with their two friends go from enemies to friends to lovers. Both stories have a side heterosexual couple. The OSTs are beautiful in both of them and acting is on point. It is written by the same screenwriter.

Both are same stories,only different versions of that story.

In 1998 version Kawee planned the rape but drugging all the servants so no one would help Narin when he attacked her.In 2008 version Kawee raped Narin after he kidnapped her.

In 1998 version Kawee`s father dies early on,even before he raped Narin.

In 1998 version Narin`s mother had never been aware of the rape incident until Kawee told her,and that relevation crushed her whereas Narin`s mother in 2008 version knew all along but acted ignorant of it.

Kawee grovels A LOT in 2008 version,in 1998 version we got very little of that.

In 2008 version Narin quickly stopped Kawee from slapping Leela back,but in 1998 version she didn`t come close on time to stop him from slapping Leela.(This is a utterly trainwreck..sigh)

They are both amazing LGBTQ+ stories. Both are widely different in terms of story (except for two men falling in love) but they are both worth watching. They deal with LGBTQ+ struggle and acceptance in their own ways.

Both focus on the different relationships and friendships made inside of prison.

Both have a main character who was sent to jail due to unfortunate circumstances of self defence.

Shows the good, bad and ugly of jail rehabilitation and those in power who take advantage of their higher position.

Finally, both were highly acclaimed when they were released.

I find some similarities between both series, although the projects' proposals are different:

- Both tell a different story per episode, but in After Dark are connected and in GFN not (just the constant proposal of Nanno being the new classmate).

- Both are open to show violence, blood or sexual content.

- The series uses supernatural recourses. AD is into demons, ghost and witchcraft stuff, while GFN is more fantasy and dystopia.

- The protagonists of each story are grey characters, with a dark side and impulses.

- There is a character that remains in the background of all stories, Nanno and Dao (But Dao doesn't have so much appearance as Nanno).

- Also, Nanno and Dao look alike, not only in the physic side (the mole under the eye) and their typically beauty of a femme fatale, but both are mysterious characters of indefinite identity who act with no particular reason more than finding fun, both have a maniacal and creepy laugh.

The story arc is very different but they both have the tried and true formula of people who knew each other in high school meeting later in life and pursuing a relationship with each other. How they are similar is that the gorgeous male lead pursues his love interest relentlessly, believing in her wholeheartedly and supporting her as she strives to be her best self. I like dramas where the gorgeous guy is NOT just the typical clueless boss running roughshod over his subordinates (although there is a little bit of that). Both men are resolute in their convictions and in pursuit of their love interests. The stories send a positive message of unconditional love no matter what the difference in circumstances and show how women should expect the men in their lives to uplift and support their girlfriends.
