Sufrieron por estar separados, tuvieron sus propias relaciones y, aunque se evidenciaba la increíble amistad y amor que compartían, nunca daban el paso para formar una relación. Hasta que, finalmente, todo se alineó para que lo lograran.

Mientras que en Hanbun, Aoi, fueron 40 años hasta que, al fin, pudieron estar juntos. Al igual que los protagonistas de 9 Years of You, ellos eran amigos desde pequeños. Podemos ver sus aventuras de niños, su relación en la escuela y cómo cada uno vivió su vida sin poder dar ese paso hacia el amor, a pesar de sus verdaderos sentimientos.
